Belair beach hoterl

Review by debs2604994 Worcester, United Kingdom

We couldn't fault the hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. You have free toiletries to use...

The restaurant was spotless and a wide variety of food each mealtime. You need to wear the gloves which are provided. There is plenty of sanitiser throughout the hotel. The pool area is lovely, plenty of sunbeds. I would definitrly recommend this hotel.

Yearly Revisiting guest.

Review by loobylou559 Derbyshire, United Kingdom

We as a couple have been visiting Rhodes for many years and during that time have stayed at different Hotels. For the the last 6/7 years we have stayed at the Belair Beach Hotel in Ixia. I will give you the pluses and minuses - as far as we are concerned.

  • 20 minuets from the Airport by Taxi.
  • The Hotel is 40 minutes stroll along the coast road to Rhodes Town, both old and new and Mandraki Harbour.
  • There are bars and restaurants a short stroll either way. ( Not disco Ibiza type bars) +The Hotel looks straight at the Ocean to Turkey.
  • Smooth check ,very helpful and friendly reception staff
  • The new pool - 3 years old now, is stunning and large, it’s fresh water filtered, yes cold but that’s what you want really and after getting in you very quickly acclimatise. +Large modern and very clean reception area and bar..
  • Pool bar is modern with two seating areas, people sit playing cards and having refreshments or snacks...

Also nice modern sun beds.

  • The rooms are spotless and only 4 story’s high, with the majority having sea view to some degree. The Executive rooms are the newest so are the most modern and up to date and are built over 6 floors. These rooms look over the infinity pool and the sea.
  • Restaurant looks over the ocean is spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Due to COVID and safety measures, for the last two years drinks are brought to the table to avoid crowding in those areas. Fresh cooked omelettes, to your taste and fresh eggs at breakfast as well as the usual cooked and continental dishes, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, etc. Themed dining ie Chinese, Italian, Greek. For the less adventurous diners and children there is fresh cooked pizza, chips, Pasta everyday. No reason not to find enough to eat.

What could be seen as minus are

  • Very busy road between hotel and pebbled beach, although there is an underpass near Rodos Gardens 2 mins up the road.
  • If you are a light sleeper the rooms at the front may not suit because of road noise in the evening and early morning.
  • Branded drinks are not on All Inclusive. Drinks in general aren’t the best and All inclusive drinks stop at 11.
  • If you are looking for Hotel based entertainment then you will be disappointed
  • No Kids CLUBS.
  • If expecting nightlife after midnight you would have to travel into Rhodes or Falaraki.

The Hotel is good value for money, if we compare with others in the area.

It’s the right location for us as we like to walk into town and Trianda in the opposite direction. We hire a car during our holiday to visit many other places on the Island. There is not a huge turnaround of staff so you meet a lot of the same faces, which is really nice. We certainly have our favourites, Marina, Basa and Poppi! The Hotel Manager is a very fair and approachable Manager so I have been very confused by a couple of the reviews left. The last couple of years have been extremely challenging for Island and as far as we are concerned the Hotel has managed remarkably to keep up there standards and put many COVID protective measures in place.

See you next year

PLus points wre friendly staff and excellent pool. Room with balcony and pool view was also nice.Food was ok but nothing special and only ever luke warm.Big let down was that all inclusive alcohol ended at 23.00 so if you wanted to stay drinking till the 01.00 closing time; you had to pay, Hardly all inclusive. Not a bad hotel by any means but don't expect 4 stars

Sunworshippers paradise

I am going to write what you have already read in other reviews. I liked this hotel. Spacious, totaly clean room. For a 3.8 star hotel (?!), it was spot on. Cant give it five stars because the food would have had to be amazing. Not saying the food was bad in any way - plenty of choices and generally good. A bit cool sometimes but if you come in at 8.45, what do you expect? You would have to be very fussy to complain about the breakfast range. Not a complaint but the queues for the lady who cooked the perfect ommelletes an fried eggs could get really long. Wouldnt hurt to get the lady two more gas rings. Cocktails a bit sickly but i persevered, Tequila Sunrise my fave. Make my own animation but hotels not all that, so i was frequently told. Pool area amazing and generally a nice communual buzz. Pool bar ladies were so lovely, excuse me - big hugs from Adrian. Staff all amazing, they work so hard to keep it all covid clean. Would i stay again? - yes.
