Rhodes

This elegant hotel is superbly located around 20 metres from Psaropoula Beach. The city centre is reachable within walking distance, approximately 100 metres away. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the shopping and restaurant area, where guests will find a variety of entertainment places and several touristic sites and attractions. The marina is around 2 km from the hotel and the airport is 15 km away.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Lovely Hotel, beautiful location and wonderful staff

I have been on a 15 day vacation to Rhodes with my partner, we stayed in a standard sea-view room. The room was clean and tidy with an amazing view from the balcony, perfect to watch the sunset. The beds are comfortable, and the room had all the amenities required.

They have a variety of breakfast options from cooked to continental and everything in between...

They have a handy shop in the lobby selling all the holiday essentials for reasonable prices and the best little coffee shop out the front.

The thing that really stands out for me is their staff, they are an asset to the hotel. During our stay they were friendly, professional, caring and have a great sense of humour, nothing was too much trouble for them. Any issues we had were fixed as soon as possible and the staff went out of their way to help.

The pool and bar area have been recently renovated and have a relaxed feeling with live music during the evening which was always entertaining after a long day of sightseeing. Plus they make amazing cocktails.

Thank you Blue Sky for a lovely stay we will returning the next time we are on the Island.

Awful rooms

Review by UpNorthUK Taunton, United Kingdom

We’re currently staying in Room 311 & 335 - ensure you are not given these rooms they are terrible. They are both old, tired, depressing, and in need of serious updating. They have no balcony and therefore nowhere outside to hang your beach towel to dry, a window with a view of the building behind with lots of dumped rubbish, no bathrobes or slippers (advertised online as being in all rooms) and air con that barely works...

Very basic.

We arrived at 1.30am, and after a night of no sleep as the bed was so uncomfortable (and I was so disappointed as the room was so depressing) I immediately went down to reception at 7am and asked for a room change. The receptionist was adamant though. There was no discussion, no assurance that I might be able to change at a later date, no offer of a better room if I paid more money, just a simple ‘there are no more rooms’ and I was told I would have a mattress topper sent to my room instead. That said, interestingly, twice when I’ve been queuing at reception to report my key card not working (this happens at least once a day) I’ve heard guests checking out thanking staff for ‘the upgrade’ so clearly they have the flexibility to move rooms around. I guess that only happens if your face fits… Therefore from the experience I am currently having, I do not recommend this hotel.

A nightmare of a room!

Review by CCansu Istanbul, Turkey

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel.

I booked their Single Room, which turns out to be a type of room hidden from all hotel visuals because it is a nightmare. Everything was falling apart – there was a big hole in the closet, the shower curtains were stained, the window was up above facing two buildings' air-conditioners. Everything in the room was old – not vintage, broken, faded, falling apart old...

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the towels were old and gray. There was nothing but a kettle and a cup in the room (no tea, no coffee, no water). The hallway to this room was dark, smelly, and dressed in a stained carpet. The worst thing about this is that nowhere (not on the hotel's website or social media or other platforms), there was a hint of this hidden room type.

I wanted to change my room but I was told that there were no rooms available. After very persistent complaints, I was informed that there was a cancellation. I was then given another room – which I think is also not on the website. It is a small room with a small sliding door/window facing another building. But, it was beautifully renovated, with a new bed, fluffy towels, and a welcoming tray of coffee, tea, and snacks. The hallway was still ugly with old furniture and carpet but no smell.

The hotel has a mediocre buffet breakfast. But its location is quite convenient.

I still cannot believe that the hotel knowingly hid the visuals of their Single Room and have the audacity to say "oh it's not yet renovated". They basically make the customers choose a horrible room without knowing the truth. It does not seem to convey good faith.

Great hotel &staff amazing

Review by Z2388XEtanyam Dublin, Ireland

We stayed here and arrived from a late flight, I had booked a sea view room but there was an issue and we had to stay in a very small room overlooking a mini mart for one night, this was not an issue at all for us and the lady on reception could not have been any nicer and apologetic. We were given dinner and drink vouchers for 4 nights for the inconvenience. The next morning we were upgraded to a beautiful deluxe sea view room which was just unbelievable and again the receptionist (can’t remember her name sorry) was so nice and helpful...

We found all the staff friendly, professional and very helpful at all times. The maids are excellent and our room was cleaned daily.

There are two issues as to why I didn’t give it 5 stars, 1st the breakfast buffet is very limited and it was always very empty, I found this very disappointing as on the website your led to believe this is going to be amazing food. (Therefore we never used the dinner vouchers given as breakfast was so bad). 2nd the management allows people to queue outside the pool before it opens first thing in the morning ,people queued daily putting towels on sun beds reserving them but not coming to the pool until after midday so beds sitting there empty all morning. This was every day of our trip and seems very unfair to others. A simple sign from management could easily stop this.

Overall amazing staff, location and rooms. The receptionist who checked us out today @15:00 is a huge asset to this hotel 😁😁 Breakfast a huge disappointment. Sun bed reserving very unfair.

Great hotel but get the upgraded room!

Review by RebSalter Worcester, United Kingdom

Stayed here with 2 friends for 4 nights. The hotel is well situated near the beach (pebbles) and some nice beach front restaurants as well as lots of bars. I had a standard room with no balcony it was quite small, okay for 1 person but 2 would be cramped...

The bathroom was very dated as was the room decor, especially when compared to the sea view deluxe room. This had much more space and was very modern. When I arrived it was clear the air conditioning was not working in the room I asked at reception for it to be fixed, they said they would send someone up, It was cooler but never got as cool as the more modern upgraded room. There is a nice pool but there are not enough sun beds for the size of the hotel so if you want then you have to get up at 9am. The shop and coffee bar offer a great range of products and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was varied and fresh food is cooked throughout the service. The bar at the pools serves food most of the day it was all very tasty but despite ordering a chicken and avocado sandwich each day, I received different variation of the sandwich each day. The bar staff were very friendly and come around the pool for drinks orders. The reception staff however were not friendly. The lobby and restaurant are well styled and a pleasant place to be. Would stay again, in a sea view room!
