Dionysos

TripAdvisor Review

Rhodes

The Dionysos Hotel is a 4+ star hotel set in the largest and most beautiful blooming tropical garden with olive trees and exotic flowers. Passion for detail, boasts a rich, warm and inviting feeling for those who appreciate antiques, classic art, symmetry and design full of history. The main attraction is the amazing, huge Lagoon pool, with 3 a la carte restaurants and 2 pool bars surrounding it. You may experience authentic Greek cuisine or even Mexican Ethnic food, made to order, literally on the water, or maybe, a crafted cocktail to the sound of stimulating music at the Aquarius swim-up bar. During the long summer nights, the Apollo Lobby Bar & Lounge becomes the place to be alongside the lagoon pool, with music events and live shows . Located close to everything and yet so quiet and relaxing, the Dionysos Hotel is in a class of its own.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Amazing and would live here if I could

Review by fionarooney89 County Meath, Ireland

This hotel is excellent and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and food was excellent too. The breakfast each morning was amazing, highly recommended adding it in...

The pool area was my favourite thing. It is very large and has a swim up bar with great bar tenders. It is only 5 minutes from the main strip too, we walked everywhere. To get to old town we just got a taxi from the hotel and back and the prices were set fees. The hotel will order them for you too. Would stay here again for sure

Excellent hotel. Well worth a visit

Review by Alrigter Weston super Mare, United Kingdom

I’d originally booked the Dionysos for our holiday but after some problems with our tour operator and seeing some bad reviews ended upgrading to the mitsis petit Palais. After staying a couple of days and paying a lot extra to stay at the petit palais we decided to have a look at the Dionysos Hotel. On arriving we realised we had made a huge mistake! We changed hotels for the second week costing us again to stay with our original hotel but well worth it( The Dionysos is that good)...

The Dionysos is set in lovely tropical grounds, with a huge swimming pool with plenty of loungers and plenty of sun. The reception staff were fantastic, happy and couldn’t do enough. We were given a sea view room on the 5th floor. The Breakfasts were good and all the other guests were courteous. We could not fault this hotel on any grounds and think anyone who does is never pleased with anything! Good work keep it up and see you next year!

Perfect in every way!

Review by Karen C Liverpool, United Kingdom

This is our second visit to the hotel and we have loved every minute! The standards are high throughout, everything you need is on the premises - you can come & go as you please, however, if you don’t, you will have just as good a time, great food, drink and entertainment at a reasonable price. The decor has character & hygiene standards are exemplary! Everything has been thought of and all your needs are catered for - the souvlaki stand is a brilliant idea for the daytimes! What makes the unique selling point to us is the team on the ground - from Reception to housekeeping - all perform their roles to extremely high standards - all with a smile behind the mask! A special thank you to Christos, Panos & Giannis in the bar- not forgetting the younger lad who helped out in the evenings 😃, Alex (& Christos) in Maestros, Nikos & Thomas in the Grill, Banos at the pool bar, the ladies & gentlemen on Reception, the chefs behind the scene ( great food every time!), all the breakfast team who kept on top of some very busy periods each morning, and last but not least the housekeeping team on floor 5 who did an amazing job day in, day out! However, every member of the team in all areas can be commended! Thank you also for the entertainment- all nights may not suit everyone however we enjoyed the music and the laughter! We rarely repeat book but we have never found a hotel as good as the Dionysos- and that is down to the team & how it is run. Thank you for another memorable experience- enjoy your well deserved break and see you all next year! ( hopefully without the masks!) And for the Liverpool supporters YNWA 😃

Beautiful well kept, established hotel

I spent 7 nights here, the room was perfect, the pool is great, everything was above my expectations. Totally recommend. Only thing i could say was there were no avocados in the Mexican restaurant when i ate there so no guacamole...

Also they were short staffed in the bar late at night so hard to get a drink, but they worked really hard to serve everyone. Would go again

Fantastic stay at the Dionysos hotel

Review by Kezza13_2017 Romford, United Kingdom

Me and my husband stayed at the Dionysos hotel in September this year for 11 nights, we really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is of a very good standard, we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, although we tried the breakfast we wasn’t keen, this is mainly due to usually eating breakfast outside by the pool when we holiday in Greece, we don’t like the canteen style breakfast but this is of course a personal preference. We had a nice room in the main building, 5th floor with a beautiful view (our room was 519) it was very breezy but then that is Ixia in general. The pool area was large and as we stayed out of peak season we had no problem getter a sun lounger although I can imagine this being a problem when in peak season, large bar area that stays open really late, fantastic staff that are both attentive and friendly (big shout out to Christoff, really miss your pink gins) the slouvaki station was delicious and we enjoyed many a gyros at lunch time...

Hotel has a variety of restaurants, I recommend you request a reservation especially in peak season. There are not many restaurants in Ixia but we spent a fair few evenings in the old town to eat and shop before going back to the hotel bar. As I said before the hotel is of a high standard, clean and well presented, all the staff work extremely hard to keep the hotel running smoothly. As a travel agent I would definitely recommend this hotel to my clients. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday
