Superb, Relaxing

Review by Sue K West Yorkshire

Returned yesterday after a weeks stay here. Travelled with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 3 month old granddaughter. The hotel was spotless, food was delicious (every meal) and without exception all the staff we came into contact with were lovely...

Hotel rooms spacious and loads of wardrobes/drawers etc. shampoo conditioner shower gel etc all in your room, we took our own but if you wanted to travel light it’s all there. Pool towels are provided and you can change as frequently as you want. Pool area really nice although pool a little cold . Entertainment very low key throughout the day- didn’t see much going on, although there was a board advertising activities. Hotel 15 mins from Rhodes town - €16/20 euros in a taxi - went there a couple of times. Not very much around the hotel itself but bus stop straight outside, just not much to wander around. We had a lovely relaxing time - thank you

Nice resort, not great for young families.

Overall, the resort was fine, it just isn't great if you have children under 10. We got a private pool suite which was nice enough but the music would start at 9pm and my kid wouldn't sleep until midnight... The white noise machine we packed didn't drown out the noise effectively enough and the insulation didn't keep out the sound well enough.

Worse still, given we are sleeping in the same room as the child we asked for a side lamp/night light/a way to see at night without turning on all the room lights (so we could at least read in the room while she slept) and the front desk people made it sound as if I was asking for something obscene...

The light switches would turn on all of the lights and we were using the bathroom light (huddled by the door, by the floors, away from the bed) so we wouldn't just be in darkness waiting for the kid to sleep)

Positive: pools were nice, premises were clean, food was fine. On site beach is good for a resort beach. Didn't have trouble finding chairs, umbrella.

Only gets a 3 from me

Review by Mick_and_Jo2 Milton Keynes, United Kingdom

Stayed here 11th June for a week. Arrived after midnight after travelling for 12hrs from Birmingham airport. At reception was asked for 200€ or a credit card, we don’t have credit cards so had to hand over the cash the guy couldn’t really explain what it was for but wanted it, same with the couple that also were dropped off with us! This is half board hotel so worked out that you didn’t have to pay for your drinks or snacks if you didn’t want to this came out of your 200€. Breakfast good the usual and sit where you like. Dinner men definitely had to wear long trousers...

Queue to get into dining room, queue at the hot food counter, always seem to wait ages for a waiter to come and ask you what you’d like to drink. Food was ok not the greatest for so called 5star. Pick your time to go in to avoid queues! Lovely pool area. Nice towels, plenty sun beds. Beach stony and into the sea, take sea shoes if you like to be on the beach. Rooms nice, not the biggest but big enough, who stays in their room all day anyway. Plenty toiletries in pumps on wall, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion nice olive products. Didn’t use our own. Hair dryer bit naff, one of those with a hose that automatically comes on when you take it off it’s peg, hose also got really hot! Only big thing that annoyed me and my husband was that we checked out the room and considering our pick up wasn’t till 19.00 this would mean a day round the pool getting hot and sweaty, our TUI rep Laura told us that there was a courtesy room…. No there isn’t!! . Reception said we have to use the shower by the toilet by the pool, there was one ladies, one gents each had a shower in but would mean using up the toilet while you had a shower while people wanted the loo! No where to change, no hair dryer!!! For a big so called 5star hotel I’d expect a courtesy room!!!

Rude staff

Review by DanielT7578 Rhodes, Greece

I’m from Israel and i visit often Rhodes. Unfortunately my experience at the palladium was not good. The staff is rude, we came to eat at 21:00 evening time after we came back from The old city...

The lady is trying to convince me not to eat because they are closing at 21:15 ( they should be open minimum until 21:30).

At the check in we came early and the lady which had a very bad attitude told us that she will update us if will be available room before 3:00. We came at 2:50 and she told us “ ohh nobody called you “. I have been in most of 5 stars hotel in Rhodes unfortunately the palladium by far the worst one of them. The gym is not good enough and works until 7:00. sauna costs 10 euros. In most 5 stars hotel it’s for free.

The only thing we enjoyed was the food. Specially morning time. Also the cleaning stuff are very nice and clean well!

I do not recommend. There is better hotels for the same price. Good luck.
