Up on the hill

Review by jobjetsetter Manchester, United Kingdom

This is a lovely hotel with fantastic views but unfortunately that means it is far away from the centre of Faliraki. It’s about a 20 minute walk down the hill and takes double that back up again it’s a killer 😂. The hotel has good and bad points...

Good : We had a superior room which had a great view. The pool areas are great. The food in the main restaurant was good. The fresh pizzas during the day were excellent this is the best feature of the all inclusive. The water park was fun too. Bad : strong cordial passing as juice orange/pineapple etc, tasteless fizzy drinks and the wine and beer that were nasty too. Not a very good selection at all for an all inclusive. Loved Faliraki itself though lots to do - did a boat trip, hired quads, got a cab to a fab beach bar called Galazio and got the bus into Rhodes Town. Will definitely be back but probably not to this hotel it was very nice but would stay in the centre next time.

Good hotel for the price

Review by Adele K leeds UK

We stayed All Inclusive in August/September 2021 and I wanted to give an honest review of the hotel for potential other guests. Location and accessibility- Firstly if you have any mobility issues then this is probably not the hotel for you. The hotel is built on the rocky hillside and is on various levels. There are ramps etc however it's still not easy to get around. The hotel have done their best to make everything accessible but at the end of the day they cant change the location on a hillside.

The hotel sits a little way out of Faliraki up a steep road...a little too far to easily walk though if you were feeling energetic you could do...

There is a bus that goes once an hour which goes into the centre of Faliraki for €1.20 each way. The same bus goes on to Rhodes Town and costs €2.40 each way. There is a discount for kids. Bus stop is directly outside the hotel. If you dont want to take the bus the taxi to Faliraki is €8.50 into town and €5.00 back. It's more to travel from the hotel as there is a charge for picking up outside of town. Pools and Bars

All 3 pools are on different levels and none of them are big or deep. The first 2 pools both have pool bars. The Aqua bar has the smaller of the two pools, and has and snack bar where pizza and chips is served from 11am to 5pm. They also have self serve ice cream from there between 4pm and 5pm. And from 5pm to 6pm you can get cookies and cakes. The Blue Lagoon is the next bar and just serves drinks and is where the evening entertainment is held.

As usual with AI, local drinks are served. However only self serve beer and white and red wine is available during the day. If you want any spirits during the day you will have to pay extra for those. Drinks are available at both bars from 10am. Aqua stops serving at 6pm which is when spirits start to be served at the Blue Lagoon. Soft drinks are also self serve and tea/coffee is also available. Due to the location of the hotel it does get quite windy on some days so you will need pegasus for towels. Sunbeds were aplenty and in good order though not aesthetically matching. Waterpark- The waterpark is on another level down with quite a few steps. There is a disabled lift but because of the location and the fact there is neither a bar nor a toilet on the waterpark level, this really restricts usage. The 3 larger waterslides are accessed by wide steps. The smaller wider slide allows 2 people to go down together. There are 2 more slide on a different level, one which is very steep and fast, the other a winding slide that takes longer. All the slides look well maintained and safe albeit sunfaded. The area was clean. The splashpark was also well maintained and was used by the younger children. The waterpark was open from 11am to 5pm even though there was a sign up to say it closed at 1.30pm! Room- I cant complain about the cleanliness because it was a clean hotel! Our room was tidied and cleaned every day. The room itself however was very small and I recommend upgrading to a larger room if you can. The bathroom was tiny and literally fit just the shower and toilet. The sink had to be sited outside the bathroom near the door.

torage was almost non existent and if you are a family of 3 or 4 then you wont be able to unpack. There were 2 drawers and an open hanging space. The room had a safe (extra) and a fridge, though there was nothing in the fridge and it was not filled during our stay. Our room had bunk beds for the children which were perfectly adequate for the duration of our 7 day stay. There was a large double bed but access around the bed was difficult due to space. The balcony was averaged size with the usual table and chairs for 2. The beds were relatively comfortable. Air conditioning was available and there was no extra charge for that. The hotel has a small shop. It's a bit pricey but not unexpectedly so. Any items bought are paid for at reception. The reception staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful giving us lots of information about buses, taxis, covid tests. We had to get a rapid test before returning to the UK and arrangements were made through reception. The doctor appeared on time and it was quick and easy to get the test. Test was at 9am and I had the results by 1pm

Relaxing week away

Review by Safari61127372483 Chesterfield, United Kingdom

We booked this hotel as it was a bargain price for an all inclusive week. Our room was near reception on the ground floor bed was very comfortable and the shower was very very powerful plenty of hanging space but there was a lack of drawers. Food was lovely and always a good choice, drinks were hit and miss but the lack of entertainment let it down as there was none at all...

We loved the pizzas from the snack bar definitely worth a visit. We walked it into falaraki most evenings which took about 30 minutes to the centre but got a taxi back as the walk back is all uphill. Our favourite bar/restaurant was La Esquina their cocktails were the best. The hotel, pool and bar areas were spotlessly clean and we found all the staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend.

Stayed in the Venezia hotel for a second time after a lovely visit last year. Despite the Covid restrictions being in place my stay at the hotel was very nice. The staff on reception are always willing to help you...

Anastasia on reception in the day is friendly and welcoming and the aussie guy on reception (Can't remember his name) was always cheerful and welcoming. The only slight draw backs were that I was initially allocate a room which had a balcony facing the main road so was not used. I did book late so it isn't the hotels fault as I presume I was just the last allocated a room. However after day 3 a swim up room became available and i paid for the upgrade for the rest of the holiday. Would definitely recommend these rooms if they have availability.

The only other item I would note would be the lack of selection of drinks available on the all inclusive isn't great and ended up some days buying my own from the shop as the beer on offer isn't the best. Other than that I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a somewhere to visit.
