Lovely holiday

Review by Gillie86 Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

We had a lovely holiday at this hotel in early March, the staff couldn’t do enough to help us and the facilities were good.

Love music most nights in the cocktail lounge and the buffet restaurant was good if you wanted to eat for a reasonable price within the hotel

The indoor pool and jacuzzi were good and welcome as it was too cold to use the rooftop outdoor pool when we visited

We were in a room on the 7th floor overlooking the Main Street however there was a building site opposite which started work at 7am most days, this didn’t bother me as I’m up early anyway however may be something to consider

The 120 Bar was a good night out with a good range of music played and a pool table which provided entertainment! Would like to revisit in the future in summer

Lovely hotel

Review by 314jayneb Tipton west midlands

We decided to try this hotel as this was our second visit to Malta, Mellieha

On arrival check in was easy and we was greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist.

Our room was on 3rd floor and it was a double deluxe room, very spacious room, the room over looked the pool area, this was really clean and well maintained by the maintenance. team

Our room was clean and plenty of complimentary toiletries and towels. On our third day we noticed in the bathroom was a few ants, phoned reception to report this with in 10 minutes maintenance arrived to address this problem.

The breakfast buffet there was plenty of choice, cooked and continental, staff were pleasant and friendly.

The hotels restaurant had a good choice of menu and reasonable priced and bar 120 the bar staff very friendly, a great place to go off an evening.

We enjoyed our stay at the Maritim, we were booked to stay again, but due to coronavirus virus our hoilday was cancelled.😢 we are hoping to rebook soon, we cant wait to visit

If you do go in March take a few extra jumpers as it's abit cool.

Our flights were cancelled due to the corona virus which I understand is an exceptional circumstance.

If we were unable to attend due to something that was our fault I would be a little more forgiving but the extortionate "rescheduling" prices, (which by the way were referred to as a penalty on the phone) were disgusting.

I have spent two weeks on the phone trying to get this sorted and multiple times I have been hung up on (and no I did not lose my temper at anyone).

The staff seem to have become desensitised and no longer care about customer service or negotiating in any sense of the word. In the end their final say was we should pay the current prices for our rooms to be rescheduled (despite the fact if we book them again they are 30% cheaper), oh AND pay the penalty.

After this run around even if I eventually do get new dates sorted out I don't think I could enjoy my stay I'm furious.

Lovely Spa!

Review by Meandrina777 Cologne, Germany

I visited the Spa of this hotel and although a bit small compared to other countries, it is lovely and the ambience is so relaxing and so peaceful. The indoor pool was clean, and the staff were always helpful. On one occasion the steam room was not working but this was quickly fixed...

The sauna is as well excellent. There is as well a relaxing area. The changing rooms were very clean and there is soap provided for you to wash. Towels are provided too at no extra cost.

On the bit of negative side, what I didn't like is people coming into the sauna soaking wet in their swimwear. All I think is needed is some sort of sign with the door advising people that no clothing is allowed and to use towels to cover up. Covering up with a towel is the best solution for both the conservative people, and the less conservative. Saunas I visited in other countries all had dress etiquette guidelines.

As conclusion I can say that this is a 9/10 spa ! And on a sidenote I tried the lavish Sunday buffett at Les Jardins and it is excellent food quality too.

The location of this hotel is a bit far, however close to an amazing beach. It would be ideal to first go to the beach, and then relax&dine at this hotel.
