Its skyline is dominated by the neo-gothic Carmelite Parish Church and the stunning art nouveau Balluta Buildings of Georgian-style architecture.
Our third trip to the hotel, for 10 days this time and what a wonderful stay we had. We had a smooth and welcoming check in and the suite was as lovely as we remembered it. The hotel, spotless as always, has a calm, warm and efficient feel to it. We had excellent service in the Atrio bar and restaurant. Many thanks to Dil, Renelyn, Medhat and Eliana for looking after us so well. The M Lounge provides great service too and thanks go to Crisanta, Ranjan, Yam and Sanjeet who were always smiling, always asking us how we were and did we need anything. Everything about the hotel is of a very high standard but it is the people who make it so special. Thanks so much everyone for such a great holiday.
I’m writing this review whilst still here as I fear I will be too down in the dumps when I get home after leaving this beautiful place. This hotel is absolutely amazing and the staff cannot do enough for you. We had a club room with the most beautiful view of Balluta Bay and our room was so nice we even stayed in and ordered room service a couple of evenings just so we could enjoy the space and the view.
As we had a club room we had access to the lounge on the 13th floor which was definitely worth it. We preferred breakfast up here as although not as much choice, it was quieter and more relaxed and you could order your omelette and eggs. They even made me avocado on toast.
The hotel and rooms were spotless and they came in several times to make sure you had clean towels and enough tea and coffee and brought you chocolates every evening. You had a purified water tap too which was a nice surprise.
We stayed in for the buffet on the Saturday evening and until then my favourite buffet was the bellagio in Las Vegas which nothing has ever come close to, however I am now in two minds which one is better and just wished we were here for another week so I could enjoy it again.
For location, service, food and rooms I cannot fault this place , oh and not forgetting the delicious cocktails by the sundeck pool where towels are provided.
We had Prosecco and desserts left in our room for us twice . Once on arrival and then my daughter arranged it on my birthday which was a lovely treat along with a personally written card from the hotel.
I could go on and on about this hotel. I’ve stayed many places in the world but this is definitely in my top three and I will be returning! I feel very rested and it’s been a lovely escape from our busy lives. Thank you to all the staff here at the Marriott.
Just back from a week at the Marriott in Malta. Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Had a lovely room with a sea view. Rooms are clean and spacious. The young guy who cleaned our room did a great job and we also gad turn down service. It was really nice having a purified water tap in the bathroom so you didn’t have to buy bottled water. Food was amazing. The breakfast was full of everything you could possibly want:; dinner was also plenty of choice. There was also fresh fish daily on the menu:, the location is perfect and easy to get around. Lots of lovely restaurants within easy walking distance.. all the staff work really hard to ensure you have everything you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Malta.
Overall the hotel is in a good location,amenities are good,staff polite and efficient,rooms are excellent good size and well equipped and clean.I had two negative observations...room 11th floor sea view great,but it never gets the sun at all not morning,afternoon or sundown..bit of a shame that.Also breakfast is a classic diy affair, which is a shame, as I think for the price service at the table for drinks tea coffee etc at least could be provided,it would make the event more enjoyable.
Just back from a lovely week. The hotel itself is gorgeous and what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Prices are quite expensive especially for the local beer Cisk which is EUR8.00 for a pint when downtown it's EUR3.50-EUR4.00 Staff are excellent and are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is superb, plenty of choice options and a big shout out to the egg man who got to know how you liked your eggs cooked. We had a deluxe pool view room, plenty of space and storage. Little bug bear was that the mini bar wasn't stocked and hard to put bottles of water in it to keep them cold which was a little issue for us! One thing that nobody seemed to mention was that upon checking in we had to pay EUR50.00 each per night in case of damage, which amounted to over EUR500 which was put on to our card straight away and to be credited back on departure. Thought this was a bit odd taking the money straight away as never came across this before. Overall all its a lovely hotel right in the heart of St Julian's within walking distance of everything and we really enjoyed our stay.
