Westin Dragonara Resort

The last of our 5 trips to the Westin Dragonara has been another relaxing and special time.

We are just an ordinary couple, who work hard and love the island of Malta to come and spend our downtime.

We love the island and it’s people, the Maltese have so many qualities that we simply love. To spend any time here is a pleasure and to spend 27 days here this year means we feel truly blessed.

From Josef, George, Peter at the concierge desk.. to the whole check In team and Ahmed / Sunny, you’re every need is taken care of. They pride themselves on the highest standards of care and we view them all as extended family now, we cannot thank them enough.

This time we stayed in a Superior Deluxe room with views of the pool and straight out to see. The rooms have all been refurbished in recent years and are so spacious, you will rarely find rooms this big. If you want to go one step further, the Tower Rooms or the Bay Suites are really recommended.

Breakfast is like nothing we have experienced anywhere… so much choice, all fresh.. from fried food, to pastries, fruit to meats and cheese, take your choice … and if you want a personalised omelette, head to the chefs and they will make it for you.

The Pool Bar was quiet due to the time of year but a perfect place to relax thru the day or for lunch.

In an evening we have used the likes of Palios (on site Italian restaurant) or Orvm bar in the main hotel. Food is incredible value but always served to the highest standard.

This time we took in the Sunday lunch and if you want a once in a lifetime food extravaganza, then the Terrace will deliver this for you. I have reviewed this separately but do not have enough adjectives to explain how special it is.

We also make use of the gym as it has everything you could want from a gym, Plus pool, sauna and steam room, the Westin delivers on every front.

All of this aside, I will return to something I mentioned at the start, the people. We love the Westin because of the way it’s teal of people make it such a special place to be. We are proud to call so many of them friends.. Josef, Fabio, Ahmed, Jeffrey, Victor, there are too many to name but we thank you all personally when we are there.

Once again, thank you all, to Eva/ Graziella in reservations, through to all of the team we meet day in day out, This is a beautiful building but the team bring it to life and make it, for us, the perfect place for us to visit. We are grateful to each and every one of you.. thank you.

Beautiful location and wonderful grounds, the hotel was not up to par as far as repairs and functioning amenities. The hotel did however try hard to meet our expectations and was greatly appreciated. The bonvoy level guest rooms all faced some very loud construction, so im not sure how this was "acceptable" for the top tier guests of a hotel.

My fiance and I were treated with such courtesy and respect at the Westin Dragonara. We enjoyed a beautiful oceanfront suite, in a quiet, peaceful setting in Malta. Special shout out to Biljana Mitrovic at the front desk, who exemplified customer service at its finest. Ashish Lama, Operations Executive, went out of his way to greet us at the buffet breakfast and ensure we were having a great stay. Saroj was always pleasant to talk with at breakfast as well. Our stay was quite exceptional and we look forward to visiting again!
