Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Modern hotel with good facilities and large rooms (We had the family room for 2 people). Breakfast covered a wide range of tastes although it can get busy but plenty of tables were available inside and outside. Position wise..perfect and quiet and a 7-10 min stroll to the lane area which is extremely picturesque and worthwhile. Nice bar within the hotel and very good bar staff. I would stay again.
Location fabulous, close to old town (few hills if you turn right at the front of the hotel but if you walk on the prom it’s all flat) and Marina. Staff are great and check in was prompt and informative about their services. Indoor and outdoor pool and gorgeous gardens, outside of the hotel could do with painting as sitting on a pool lounger looking at the rooms from the outside showed it to be grubby and run down looking Beautiful decor with gorgeous seating areas scattered around the hotel. Lovely plentiful breakfast. Stayed on first floor, room view was ok only but the room itself was clean and spacious with water, teas, coffees replenished every day. Room cleaned every day too which was great. Free hourly shuttle from hotel to Duna beach and use of the club. We received €50 voucher at check in which we used at the beach restaurant, the food there was amazing, sun loungers and parasols on the beach discounted for guests so €12.50 for 2 so very reasonable. The only thing I was miffed about was paying for loungers at the pool at the beach club, the hotel advertises that they have 3 pools, one at the beach so I feel guests should have free use of these loungers, the pool is nothing to write home about. 3 great little bars at the front of the hotel, one is a restaurant too. Overall I would definitely stay again.
The service at the hotel was good overall. The entrance was impressive and looked just as expected from the pictures. The staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and the breakfast was amazing with a great selection.
Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel was a major disappointment, especially considering this is an NH Collection property. I have stayed at NH Collection hotels throughout Europe, and this particular property did not meet the standards I have come to expect from the brand.
The pictures are quite misleading compared with the actual condition of the hotel. Once you reach the room levels, the lack of maintenance becomes very noticeable. The walls are dirty, there are missing tiles throughout the floors, and many of the seats and furnishings that appear white or gray in the pictures are visibly old, worn, and in need of replacement or refurbishment.
The staff and breakfast were definitely highlights, but the overall condition of the property took away from the experience. I was really disappointed, particularly because I expected a higher standard from NH Collection.
Didn't like the location of our room. Off the balcony, our view was garbage dumpsters. Every morning near 7:30 am and evening you can hear and see them emptying bottles. So loud! And don't order drinks from the bar. Wayered down white wine and beer. Yup! And we complained to front desk. They knocked off 50% off bill. Yup, 50% water. But complimentary breakfast was great.
We stayed at this lovely hotel in September 2026. We stayed in a family room overlooking to pool. Our room was spacious, very clean, modern and convenient for the restaurant, pool, bar etc. The breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choice, everything well topped up and cooked food was hot. The pool area was lovely. We always found a sun bed, even coming back midday. We could not fault the service. We chose this hotel because of it's location and it did not disappoint, marina at the front and old town at the rear, 5 - 10 minutes walk to each. The block we stayed in, overlooking the pool, was in need to external decoration but the balcony area was well decorated, clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel.
