Ozadi Tavira Hotel

Just arrived, and so far very unimpressed! Received a warm and efficient welcome from reception staff, and our room was ready early which was a welcome bonus. Room spacious and clean, decor minimal but fresh, but nothing to shout really. Bus service into town and back stops at 5pm ? Not a great offering but taxis not a huge amount. Lunch / snacks: overpriced rubbish. Margarita pizza clearly a cheap frozen offering and omelette and chips very bland / non descriptive. Very little choice if you don’t eat meat. Have to trade in towel cards at reception for a pool towel. On taking ours back we were told that you’re normally expected to keep the same towel for two days ??!! No pool side service, have to get dressed and trek up to bar. Never seen 4 star services

Hotel is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for anyone who enjoys to stay in a hotel without noise. The rooms themselves are adequate. Beds very comfortable and sufficient in size. Unfortunately, the Spa service was unavailable but the reception explained this at checked in. Breakfast is located on the third floor and has lovely views. Food was plenty full and fresh. The pool area is stunning, unfortunately, I never used the pool due to weather being windy but I can imagine it is very pleasant in the hotter weather. Free parking is available. This hotel is great for those who wish to stay away from the hustle and bustle but I absolutely recommend you have a car to explore the surrounding area. All in all, a very nice hotel and well worth the 4 stars.

I booked a weekend break (3 Nights) to celebrate my partners birthday! Disappointingly we were rather surprised that this so called 4 star Hotel is desperately in need of repair especially bedroom furnishings and decor! That aside the service was questionable! It was very disappointing that during the dinner on our last evening we had to return a plate of chicken, with vegetables, because it was all cold! We were not offered anything in replacement or a refund! On checking out of the establishment we discussed with the receptionist how disappointed we were that our dinner was spoiled! The receptionist insisted we sent back a clean plate as seen on a video link! We were shocked and could only say that there must be a video error as my partner did not eat her meal nor was she offered a substitute plate of food! We are both well travelled having lived in South Africa and Europe! We have never had such terrible service or had a complaint that went unresolved! We believe this puts the service element of the hotel alongside the disappointment with old and tired furnishings in less than a 2 star category! We hope this review goes somewhere to assisting the management review & update both services and decor!
