Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is ideally located in Caniço, a charming village on the south-west part of Madeira Island and is 8 km from the airport and 7 km from Funchal. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in History and antiquities. From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic Ocean and nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas. 141 rooms and 25 Spa Suites, distributed in several low rise buildings, a wide gastronomic offer and a luxurious spa.
Note: Kindly note that our SPA facilities are closed during the month of March and April 2021, including the indoor pool. Nevertheless massages and Holistic Therapies are being performed.

Most wonderful place to stay
An amazing hotel in every way, with wonderful staff, the perfect location and very quiet. We were there for a wedding and the manor and grounds where it was held on site was truly amazing. Will definitely return

Absolutely amazing
Heaven-on-earth type of place, the gardens alone are able to wipe clean years of stress. You can hear the birds singing and the fresh air is filled with the perfume of flowers. Just heavenly! The resort is impeccably clean, with five-star amenities, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the view is incredible and the breakfast and dinner buffets are overwhelmingly abundant and absolutely delicious...the couple of pounds I gained were well worth it, I regret nothing! :) Definitely the go-to place in Madeira. I look forward to returning the first chance I get.
Great couples retreat for sun and relaxation
Gorgeous hotel set in beautiful botanical gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much bother, they can also switch languages fluently. Spa Rooms are very comfortable with an outside area to sit and enjoy the sun. Toiletries are lovely and tea and coffee are provided. Buffet breakfast and dinner leaves you spoilt for choice each day. Spa area great to relax and unwind, gym useful to work off the buffet. Nightly entertainment in the Globe bar is an interesting mix, the Sweet Dancers are fabulous. Would recommend to any couple looking for a week of rest relaxation but with activities if required.
A little piece of heaven
We have just finished a week's stay here, doing B&B, The hotel is gorgeous! Situated in a quieter part of madeira with plenty of facilities nearby. It was quaint, with beautiful gardens to relax in as well as two pools to use. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant! Our room had a view over the gardens and seas. It was bright, very comfy beds and well equipped if you wished to prepare your own food! The breakfast was amazing, with an extensive choice of hot food and continental breakfast as well as cereals, fruits, cheeses, breads! Our room was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff! A big thank you to you all! We will definitely be coming back!
