Myself, husband & 16yr daughter arrived on the 11th August 2021 for a 7night stay. The rooms are small and really need an upgrade - if they offer to put another bed into a double room, the room is beyond small. My next complaint is the breakfast - apart from the queueing to get into the breakfast room, the health & safety of the guests is not thought of - all guests shared the same utensils/water/juice containers/ceral etc., - no space between guests when queueing for the toaster/coffee machine - guests on top of each other...

My next complaint is the sunbeds around the hotel area - guests having to get up at 6am to put their towels on sunbeds and not using them during the day - this caused daily frustration and had guests arguing between each other. My last complaint is the lack of responsibility the Hotel are taking regarding PCR test for my daughter . Avoid booking a PCR test through the Hotel - even though them recommend a Medical Centre - after that they wash their hands of it. I have written to the Hotel on a number of occasions to complain - one disappointing response received. If you are looking for a Hotel that considers it guests during a Pandemic - this is not the Hotel as my opinion is that they showed lack of responsibility in alot of areas. I will not stay or recommend this Hotel.

A one night stopover for an early flight. Arrived at 1100 and checked into our small, dark, dingy and smelly room where the bed turned out to be very uncomfortable. There was not an inch of space around the pool which is clearly too small for the size of the hotel. You book a hotel for its amenities and very annoying when you can’t use them and have to go elsewhere and pay extra...

Due to COVID however, the space at the beach was much more comfortable and safer. Pool bar was ok but no waiter service. We ate in the restaurant which was average. Not many staff around. Not 4* by any stretch of the imagination.

Stayed here for a week, getting a break from Covid-ridden Britain. The hotel is perfectly clean and tidy - spotless, in fact - stylishly decorated and the staff are immaculate. Excellent food...

Very close to the beach. Nice pool and also an indoor pool with spa.

Not a proper 4 Star

This hotel was disappointing and not a 4 star. Covid hygiene was poor. In the breakfast room it was buffet but there was no individual tongs for each guest as in Pestana hotels do...

Which we visited last month in Madeira.

The maid had no respect for my personal belongings. By putting all my batteries headphones and deodorant on the top my laptop which can cause stress to the LCD screen and scratches to the outer casing. I was lucky this time. Housekeeping should not touch guests belongings especially during a pandemic.

The swimming pool was very small for the size of the hotel and often there was little space to get into the water and no social distancing. Though masks had to be worn in the hotel there was little enforcement of this.

The hotel is tired and very basic and not what you expect from a 4 star hotel and is need of a good renovation.

The only thing which was impressive was the lobby. The quality of the food was good on the breakfast buffet.

It's a lovely hotel but it was seriously understaffed which made several events very frustrating, ordering drinks, food, accessing reception. Also there's a stupid policy with towels for the spa as you need to leave cash to be given one... not what you expect from a 4* hotel...

Hopefully management will give the current staff a helping hand and employ more people to help things run smoothly. Our room was fine other than a lamp which swung round and landed on my partner in the night.
