I spent a solo week here with Jet2 holidays. I was thrilled with my room. 906. Pool and sea view was fantastic...
Large room and balcony. Very clean and well designed. Lots of plug sockets in useful places. Lots of storage and space. Bed was comfortable. Full sized fridge. Free WiFi. Welcome bottle of fizz, water and doughnuts was a lovely touch. Rooms are cleaned every day and clean towels provided. 3 elevators and always available without waiting. Dinner is served later than I prefer, from 7.30 pm. I really couldn’t fault the food. Yes, the hot dishes are always cold which is something the hotel need to sort out, but there was plenty of choice and for what I paid, it was great. There are lovely fresh salads, cheeses, cold meats and then a variety of warm meals including paella, pasta, fish, meat, chips and usually a special like burgers or hot dogs. The staff are fast, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, served until 10 am. Pool area was ok, plenty of free sun beds. I used the beds on the beach, 6€ for the day. I got fed up of dodging the shade from the fixed parasols around the pool! I only used the pool bar once for a drink, but I believe the food is very good there. Promenade is accessed via a gate near the pool and has a multitude of bars and places to eat on your doorstep. Hotel was spotless. I never found a salon/ longe area in the hotel which would have been nice to sit in, instead of my room at night. If you are thinking of booking this hotel, do it. You will not be disappointed. It is great value for money and I had a very comfortable, safe and relaxing visit. Book half board, I paid £27 extra for the week. If you don’t like the food, eat out. I never ate out because I enjoyed the food.
We have holidayed in this hotel many times. Outstanding value for money. Feels more like 5 star. We love coming here because we get a wonderful welcome...
Hotel is very well managed. Staff can’t do enough for us. Spotlessly clean. Room service amazing.
We are staying half board. Food is excellent! Great choice of hot and cold food. Fish soup last night was the best we have tasted. Very tasty dishes. Well presented and cooked beautifully. The pork dish last night was amazing and the sauce finished it off.
Service in restaurant is so fast and efficient. Waiters are very prompt and efficient, very friendly and helpful.
Dining room spacious and lovely atmosphere.
Location right on the beach. Port is a short walk and in the opposite direction a short walk to shops, bars restaurants and torremolinos. Very pleasant walk.
We wouldn’t go anywhere else and look forward to our next stay hopefully in February.
We have a disabled daughter and she has been made very welcome too.
We have just returned home from hotel Barracuda and had just a brilliant holiday made possible by the wonderful views from our room and the friendliness of the staff. We opted for a side sea view room and we were on the 8th floor and we found it difficult to pull ourselves away from the balcony as the view was totally breathtaking. Our room had been refurbished from the last time we had visited, the fridge and free WiFi is an added bonus...
The rooms are immaculate as is the rest of the hotel. The restaurant staff deserve credit as they are efficient, polite and very friendly. I know some people complain about the food but I can honestly say we found plenty we liked and enjoyed eating our breakfast outside overlooking the pool. We always heated our meals in the microwave as I know we prefer our food hotter the the Spanish but I think people have to understand the hotel has to cater for numerous nationalities so it’s not all English style food. The only 2 disappointments was the rooftop bar and sun area was closed. We had only wanted to see the sunset but unfortunately it is closed for the winter but was still on the website as open and also there were no facilities to shower if you have a late flight like ours, although these negatives certainly didn’t detract from a wonderful stay. Thank you all.
Stayed for 11 nights from the 26th of October, booked directly with the hotel, it was 2 bookings from last year which were not possible to do due to covid , and the Hotel kindly let me rearrange the bookings for this year. Having stayed on a few occasions previously I knew the best rooms are poolside , I had room 410 which was a refurbished room and very nice, I stayed half board and was very satisfied with the food. The bar snacks at the pool are also very good, special thanks to Antonio at the bar , and Monica in the restaurant, they are a credit to the Hotel, I will return in March 2022
I went for a week with my teenage son for mid-term as a last minute package deal. I wanted a hotel right on the beach, and you really cant get better than this for that! I could lay by the pool and watch my son swimming in the sea. The hotel itself is immaculately clean - I was very impressed that the rooms are cleaned every day, the beds made, and fresh clean towels left! We opted for breakfast included and really it had all you could possibly ask for...
The only downside is if you don't make it before 10am you can forget about the fresh pancakes - and these really are great. I was disappointed that the Roof-Top Terrace was closed (because it was off season) as this was one of the reasons we had booked the hotel in the first place - And there is no tennis court - the pictures are very misleading as this part of the complex is extremely shabby and in need of a refurb! It says there is ping-pong (if you can find a ball) and the whole area for football/basketball etc. is pretty much falling apart. If there was a pool table and a proper games area it would make a huge difference. The pool area is well kept though and the food at the pool bar is lovely - We only ate there at lunchtime on our last day and I was sorry we hadn't before because it really was great value for money - The Caesar salad is amazing! The staff were a mixed bag - Some were unbelievably friendly, but most looked at you as though you were more of an annoyance - Abraham in the bar, and Elliot the security guy really made our holiday though - they were a credit to the hotel, and made us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay - the people on Reception definitely need to try and smile a little more! I can imagine during peak season the atmosphere in this hotel would be unreal - When we went it was understandably quiet - I would definitely return for another stay though as you really can't beat the location. If you get a chance, eat at the fish restaurant at the rear of the hotel - It really is amazing. And the walk along the promenade to the marina and into Benalmadena is beautiful.
