This luxurious and modern hotel offers comfortable accommodation right on the beautiful, sandy Carihuela Beach in Málaga, at the south of Spain. In the surrounding area, travellers will also find a lot of smart restaurants where they can go in the evening, as well as the famous “chiringuitos” beachside restaurants that specialize in the tasty “pescaíto frito” or fried fish, ideal for a light meal at noon. The property is also near Puerto Marina leisure centre with numerous entertainment options available. The ample and light-filled suites feature a contemporary and cosy décor with all conceivable amenities for dream-like stay. Most of them also boast a private balcony with lovely views to the sea. Business travellers might appreciate the meeting spaces available and everyone may indulge themselves at the impressive beach club with an infinity pool.
To be totally honest I’m extremely disappointed with the hotel especially a 4 star.
We stayed in a junior suite which was very small and very basic. It was also extremely outdated. The bed is really hard and uncomfortable.
We unfortunately stayed on the ground floor and what a nightmare that was. As it was just off the lobby, the evening performance may as well be in the room with you! The same can be said about people drinking at the bar at the end of the night, we could hear everything and kept us awake.
Cleaning of the rooms was not very good. The cleaning products (for the floor, because nothing else is cleaned!) are quite strong and if you’re anyway sensitive, you might have a reaction.
Sun lounger wars with them reserved for hours with no one sitting on them. Not enough room for sun loungers, they are all on top of each other. There’s also extremely loud music at the pool area.
We only had breakfast in the hotel and we found it ok. Can be extremely busy depending what time you go.
It also rained while we were there and there is absolutely nothing to do when it does rain.
Location is good and the beach is just at the back. The hotel is near enough on the boundary line of Torremolinos and Belenamedena so a lot of choice. Very near the marina.
Staff we dealt with were all very pleasant.
Hotel is average. We had a suite. Basic but clean. No decor. No doors on the wardrobe. Just shelves for everything else. Bed a bit uncomfortable. Very basic for a 4 star. Breakfast average. A few things about service. They’re not very generous with the very small milk cartons in the room. One day 2 cartons and another day only one. The amount of milk is not enough for a cup of tea/coffee let alone 2. But there’s a fridge which is handy. Cups are rinsed out and put back (could do this myself). I noticed this because one had a massive chip and it was still there the following day. Had to ask for hand towels one day. They took the wet ones but didn’t replace them. There’s not enough room around the pools for the size of the hotel. Beds are all squash closely together with no space between. Usual issue with towels reserving beds. My biggest gripe is loud banging music around the pool during the day. Silly me didn’t know. NOT RECOMMENDED for couples who want peace and quiet. One positive …..evening entertainment good.
This is a beautiful place, everything u need right next door. Staff are great especially Carlos, one of the nicest people I've met in a very very long time, id advise anyone to visit here just to meet this guy!
Once more another terrific experience at the Ocean House. Staff are the mainstay. Nothing is a chore and always friendly and polite. My friends and I visited the hotel for a girls trip, 2 birthday celebrations, one 50th & one 60th. We booked the hotel as it was recommended to us, great for a girls trip, as the entertainment was said to be brilliant, this hotel was a melia hotel when we booked and then by the time our holiday came along it had been taken over by Grupotels so I was abit apprehensive hoping all would still be the same. Well Grupotels you did not disappoint every single person in our group thought the hotel was amazing 😍. We booked the hotel with Breakfast included, there was everything you could possibly imagine to eat 👍 We made use of the pool bar restaurant the food was very nice 👍 The location of the hotel is perfect, beachfront & 5 /10 mins walk to the marina 👍 The walk down the beach front down to torremolinos is beautiful, lots of lovely bars & beachfront restaurants👍 I stayed in a triple room which was lovely balcony & side sea view Some of the ladies stayed on the ground floor they had a small terrace ( they said they would of preferred to stay in a room like ours as didn’t feel it was a proper balcony and abit dark in the room) All the staff were very nice 👍 Our biggest plus of the hotel though was the entertainment, it was amazing 🤩 The entertainment team wer second to none, brilliant team Ana, Armiche, Carolina, Ruben, Hugo, Carlos, Alba, Pool, shows, 👏👏👏 ( no splashy splashy😂) keep up the great work guys 🙌 Activities in the morning them 4pm till 6pm Dj on Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun 4pm till 6pm singers came on around the pool bar area, along with Dj, fantastic singers we loved the group called Soul Note, the sketch from grease the movie, guitarist, violinist, there really was something for all ages😍 Then later in the evening, every evening more singers from 9.45 for a couple of hours 👍
My only moan about the hotel was the gate at the beach front were you gain access in & out of the hotel closes at 12 midnight, so then you have to walk down around the back of the hotel to get in Also the ladies in the ground floor rooms didn’t like the terrace & room was another dark
On the whole we all thought the hotel was truly amazing, please don’t change any of the good points I have mentioned We will definitely return to this hotel, we can’t praise it enough
