We visited the Royal Costa Hotel in July 2019.We are a family with 2 children and i can honestly say that this is the worst place we have stayed. We paid for half board and i think during the 10 days we stayed we ate in the hotel twice which was breakfast as the food was disgusting every day.The snack bar food was ample and more edible than breakfast/dinner in the main restaurant. The hotel was really clean but that was the only good thing about the place. The staff there seem to have a dislike for anyone who wasnt Spanish and almost all the entertainment was in Spanish only which was difficult for the children to get involved as they didnt have a clue what was happening.I appreciate that we were in Spain but we didnt realise it was mainly catered for Spanish customers.
We found the staff to be really rude and soft drinks ridiculously priced. We would go back to Torromolinos as we enjoyed going into the centre to eat/explore but definitely wouldnt stay at this hotel ever again.
hotel clean thats probably the only good point, its 6.50 in taxi into resort centre, food wasnt great although always managed something usually chip butty or pasta. only cater for spanish, member of our group had 200 euros pinched around pool area and hotel were no help at all. would go back to torremolinos but different hotel
Been here twice now over last 7/8 years.first of all ignore the bad reports you read On this place.some people just think there gonna get 5 star for 3 star money. And that's the truth. It's clean friendly.food is generally good some days might not be to your liking But you won't starve there's always something. Rooms are good.pool area is biggish you'll never struggle for a seat or subbed Bar does get busy if you want to have a good night on the drink you need to stack rm up before it's too late. One big bonus with this hotel.its so close to the rail line its 2 stops down on the C1 line from Malaga airport and is €2.30 pp one way ten minutes.
as is usual majority of guests were spanish pensioners getting holidays from government.theweather was very good in the low 20sno rain sun for 7 days.large sunbathing area plenty of bed pensioners dont use pool area always room.also plenty of tables and chairs to sit and drink close to bar.food was ok found something every day in restaurant.drinks at bargood service good louisa when not busy at bar would help in restaurant great service. bedrooms cleaned everyday fresh towels as required. a few pub retaurants round corner.train statiion5 minutes away cheap travel to clos by resorts beach 15 minute walk will return.
Visited this hotel at the start of November for a week, food was of a good standard most of the stay and waiting and bar staff were very helpful and friendly. However the heating was broken despite us asking for an engineer to fix it resulting in my husband coming home with a chest infection. Worst of all was the bed bugs we both came up with bites in the last 2 days resulting in both of us having to visit the GP upon our return...
The walls were paper thin it was noisy and sounded like people walking up and down the corridor at 3am were in the room with us. The entertainment consisted of Spanish line dancing every night and a singer that only sung in spanish! Not what we expected to bring back from our honeymoon a chest infection and bed bug bites !!!
