Excellent hotel

Second time at this excvellent hotel, close to the airport, lovely grounds, plenty of pools and sunbathing areas, across from the beach, what's not to like! Very clean and well maintained and close to the town and shops.

Avoid!!

Review by Flyer07428538217 Bournemouth, United Kingdom

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Checked in for our one night stay prior to airport departure. The woman at the welcome desk was the most unhelpful person I haven’t ever had to deal with at a ‘so called’ 4 star hotel. No offer of assistance to me and my small child and when I asked her where the car park was the directions given were very unclear.

At a 4 star establishment the least expected is to be given a warm greeting, and a little more information about the hotel...

Around 4 hours later we receive a phone call from reception, saying I needed to move my car from the ‘22euros per night’ car park as it was parked in another residents space! No mention of spacing upon arrival nor allocation of numbers. Lone travelling with my small child I was asked to come down to move the vehicle… and expected to leave my small child in the room unattended! When refusing to move said vehicle, due to lack of instruction, after paying the 22 euro extortion amount to park (might I mention this is higher than many 5star hotel valet parking rates), my small child being asleep and a very early departure the following morning she then slammed the phone down on me.

The car park wasn’t exactly ‘busy’ upon arrival, 1/3 full.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, 2 stars at best. Perhaps 1 star for services.

Might I add the room was in a poor state, air con not working, cigarette burn present on the bed spread. Hairs in the bathroom and on pillows.

If I had booked into this hotel any more than the one night purely for airport proximity I would have walked straight back out of the door.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at….

Avoid avoid avoid!!

Fantastic hotel

Review by 153bettyg Liverpool, United Kingdom

I have just returned from this hotel and felt I had to write a review. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in in a hotel. We changed our room to a pool view one and it was well worth the upgrade, the rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels given each day...

The reception staff were so friendly and helpful as we're all the staff at the hotel. The choice of English channels on the TV was fantastic. The food was OK and if you walked the very short distance to the San Marco they almost seem like the same hotel they are so close the choice of food was a lot more there. I would just put one suggestion to the hotel and that would be to have some gravy for the food as it could be quite dry. There were a few pools to choose from at the hotel and the beach is just outside the hotel, the sunbeds on the beach have big thick cushions and only cost 6 euros a day but you get a lovely breeze from the sea. The hotel location is superb with lots of bars, shops and restaurants just outside. I could not fault this hotel and it is now one of my favourites and I will definitely be returning.

Highlight was the 7 pools!

Review by Voyager63049253745 Baildon, United Kingdom

The breakfast selection was brilliant. Lots of cooked and fresh options; there was a chef there who cooked omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes to order which was fantastic! There was always enough seats and it was clean. In the room, the beds were comfy and lovely big mirrors on the wardrobe...

The bathroom was clean and shower very good to use. The air con was strong which was greatly appreciated (I even woke up cold haha!)

Being able to use the facilities of Pedro, Pablo and Marco was exceptional and having 7 pools to choose from was brilliant and meant you never had to worry about finding a sun bed.

When we arrived, our first room had sun onto the balcony and a bit of a rubbish view of the old tennis court, but after speaking to reception, they happily moved us the next afternoon and we then had a sea view which was beautiful.

The location is great and just a (steep) walk away from the centre of Torremelinos which was lovely. If you’re looking for Tapas and Sangria, I’d highly recommend El Dorado which is only a 10 minute walk away to the right.

The big downside was that the wifi did not reach our bedroom in either room at all which was disappointing however it just meant we got up earlier to go to breakfast so we could check our phones haha! Additionally, the food here is not great if you are vegetarian; the hotel buffet had basically no proper food that my partner could eat but that’s easily avoidable by eating away from the hotel!

I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Nice Hotel

Review by donalpaulkelly Ireland

Check in was very quick but the room was a real negative. Absolutely tiny. Left our cases on the balcony to make room...

Overall very clean. We went all inclusive which is well worth it however pool bar very limited on lunch snacks. You can have a burger but you can't have a baguette. Same for kids ice cream, you can chose 3 out of 15. Ridiculous!! Add the extra 2 euro if things are that bad. Also, no bottle of water available. Asked to buy a bottle first and the top up when you want. Again Ridiculous. Staff were mostly very polite apart from one male barman at the pool bar who was rude. Looked like he hated his job. The cleaning ladies were very good and polite. Having the choice of 3 hotels inside is great. Would be nicer if bar overlooking promenade stayed open later.
