Have stayed at the Salauris Palace Hotel many times since 2012. It was sad to see that the hotel was only about one third full. Normally at this time it is buzzing. This year the reception area had been revamped and is light and airy...
Staff on reception extremely helpful. Special thanks to Sandra and Victoria and Diana who helped me with all the paperwork to be completed before returning to U.K. The hotel staff are very COVID aware and measures in place. Rooms are clean and spacious and serviced daily. The restaurant is spacious and the food was of a very good standard. Plenty of choice. The bar was also quiet and the entertainment was ok. Pity the Animation team put on head banging music then disappear. It ruins a peaceful relaxing time by the pool. Although only mid September Salou was quiet. They definitely are missing the Brits. Overall an excellent stay and will be back.
This was our third time staying in the Hotel, but the first in many years. The two previous times we loved it and hoped that things would not have changed. Thankfully everything was just as we remembered with Hotel living up to our memories.
We stayed half board for a week and enjoyed every minute...
The Hotel is safe, very clean, has excellent facilities and the food is excellent and varying to give everyone something to choose. Rooms are spacious and modern and the pool area is excellent.
Covid wise in felt very safe and people adhered to mask wearing in the appropriate places.
It is 10 minute walk to Port Aventura and a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is in a quiet location but still near everything.
Staff were very friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant and at reception. Every night had a different type entertainment to enjoy.
Overall I don't think you could ask for much more and we definitely won't leave it so long to come back.
Visited here for a week in September.
Picked this hotel as it was close to both the theme parks and the beech. For that it was perfect.
The hotel is really nice. Modern looking and clean...
Staff are all very efficient and friendly.
The room was clean and big enough for 2 of us. Great view of the theme parks - and although it's located on a busy island, it was pretty quiet our whole stay.
This really is a good hotel for the money and would have been perfect if not for 2 small issues which stopped it getting a full 5 stars.
The hotel allows smoking EVERYWHERE outside and this became a problem as people were smoking around the pool so it became a place we could not stay, so ended up going to the beech or face being choked with second hand smoke. We also tried to watch the evening entertainment but the same, people are allowed to smoke and therefore we wnded up leaving the first night and not seeing any of the following days entertainment. A real shame as both the pool area and evening entertainment were really good, but ruined by the rule stating smoking is allowed everywhere outside.
We had Half board and although the selection of food was generally good, it was pretty much without exception that the food was luke warm at best, spoiling the experience somewhat. They have heaters but they clearly don't work as you don't feel any heat when you lean over to get the food like you should. The presentation is really good with a huge choice of food but really let down with always having to eat barely warm food.
Overall we really enjoyed the stay as it was a really nice save and clean hotel with good facilities, just spoilt by a couple of points.
I would still recommend the hotel though- especially if you smoke as the smoking wouldn't be a problem for you.
We stayed at H10 Salauris Palace from 23/8/21 to 28/8/21; Mum and Dad in our 50's and 15 year old daughter. Overall a lovely stay and I will endeavour to review all the aspects close to peoples hearts.
The hotel itself is scrupulously clean and adheres to COVID rules without fail...
The rooms are spacious, even with 3 beds. The beds are made every day and towels changed if you need them to be. The positioning of the hotel is first class, most activities are in walking distance, including the Beach, Fountains, Port Adventura, the Illusion show etc. The rooms have a flat screen TV with an HDMI port, and WI FI is available free throughout the hotel. There are no English channels however, except CBS news; perhaps something that could be addressed once travel restrictions are further lifted. In the restaurant you are given tongs for just you to use and you must put your mask on if you leave your table for any reason. If you forget you are quickly reminded - you don't forget more than once!! There is plenty of choice, probably more for the European palate, but we didn't have an issue with that. Breakfast has cereal, hams, cheeses, an omelette/fried egg station and freshly made pancakes. Several breads and pastries and 'English' breakfast choices including black pudding, but no English sausages or grilled/tinned toms. Evening meal also had show cooking, including Hake, Veal, Beef Steaks, Lamb chops etc. Soup and salads are available all the time as well as other mains, usually presented as a stew or in a sauce. Puddings/sweets are as expected and there are also Haribo type sweets for the kids. Some strange concoctions, for example buttered carrots one morning for breakfast, but overall freshly made and well presented. Entertainment. Animation team were great, Al, Sona and Laura (kids club) made us feel very welcome, were friendly and approachable, I cannot praise them more. We were the only English family there at the time (I think) and we joined in most of the activities, including winning the quiz one day! They were incredibly hard working and seemed to be around all the time. The pool splash aerobics was very entertaining even for those not participating. The entertainment programme I would say has been affected by COVID but they have made the best of it, for example no water polo which was not missed by me! Evening entertainment (after the kids disco) however was not so good. Saturday night was 2 female singers who were really quite poor - in Ex-Factor speak pitchy to say the least. Later in the week a trio of male singers - an opera singer, a more modern type singer and a Lionel Ritchie wannabe. The voices didn't blend in my opinion (musician myself) and some vocal lines were actually incorrect. The circus/acrobatic shows were OK, the best was the lady violinist but unfortunately she didn't say or introduce anything. All the bar staff, waiters etc were friendly and accommodating. I felt that the prices in the pool bar were a bit steep and seemed to be different to the inside bar, however, measures were generous and the service impeccable. Overall, an enjoyable stay. I would recommend the hotel to others and we would definitely stay again
We stayed in the hotel for a week and really enjoyed it. All covid safety measures are in place and the hotel itself is very clean. Staff are friendly and professional...
The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast each morning was very nice, plenty of choice. The hotel is walking distance to the resort where there's lots of restaurants and a beach. It is also walking distance to the Port Adventura parks. I would definitely return to the hotel.
