Deluxe room is really nice with very comfortable bed and nice shower. Cleaning was very good in the room and also on a surrounding. Food quality is not to accept - it is not a 4 star hotel food, it it very poor buffet with the same food everyday and also it was very crowded and loud...
Pool next to restaurant was also crowded so we didn't come there. Pool with salty water was good, not crowded and with nice view and some good snacks (but AI drinks were poor). Hotel service is ok, people working in the hotel are kind and helpful.
This was our second stay at Barcelo Castillo Beach resort, we luv the friendly relaxed atmosphere, the feeling of being safe around the resort and the variety of facilities. The evening walks along the coastal path ended the day perfectly. We will be recommending to everyone......
Weird set out most hotels have everything under its roof firstly you arrive in reception building then all accommodations are surrounding the restaurant and pool are situated away also the evening entertainment is also situated away from the hotel.
Rooms ok appearance need some tlc, we had little white bugs crawling all around the kitchen area. Room floors never seemed to be swept or mopped and our feet were gritty and dirty all the time! Sheets were not changed daily.
Restaurant where do I start we payed all inclusive premium that it is not! For snacks from The snack bar it’s all hotdogs in dry bread, cardboard burgers, chicken nuggets and fries? My two year old doesn’t even eat that at home and this was everyday! We tried it once we didn’t again no variety. Breakfast ok again nothing of much variety everything that was meant to be warm was cold as it was stood for a while. Dinner we tried once just a mish mash of dishes again cold and lacking in variety also the restaurant breakfast. Dinner and lunch was like a hoard of animals that haven’t been fed no social distancing it was awful we paid all inclusive and ate out 98% of the time! Self catering for this hotel is a better option we are British and don’t eat the stereo typical all English breakfast but we did on few occasions as the hotels full English was awful I recommend the trafalger a short walk from the hotel brilliant menu and there full English was 2.90 euros!
The same people that rushed to Be fed are the same people that rushed to the beds crowded.
Night time entertainment again could even get in to see the show for my son same people That rushed to be fed, beds were the same people Watching the same show ever night!
A system needs to be in place
Different breakfast, lunch and dinner seatings to stop the over crowding where you have to book a table for your meals
The shows If you have seen it once allow others to be able to see it.
For all this unfortunately I wouldn’t return, don’t be fooled by the white idilic beach it’s all shaley. La guirra beach is a short 20 min walk that’s authentic.
I will return to Fuerteventura but not this area.
It’s been 8 years since our last visit to the Barcelo Beach Resort and I had forgotten how good this resort and Caleta is. Previously we had always chosen the self catering option here but after an all inclusive stay recently I cannot rate it highly enough especially in comparison to a recent 10 day stay at a similar well known all inclusive resort in Lanzarote.
This resort delivers on all fronts, amazing beach front location, multiple swimming pools, superb modern air conditioned rooms, fantastic buffet, enthusiastic animation team, nightly entertainment, a good range of snack bar & drink options and very friendly staff who are only too willing to help no matter how small the request, especially in these challenging times. There’s also a Hiper Dino supermarket next to reception for any food, drinks or essentials you might need.
I cannot recommend this Barcelo resort highly enough and cannot wait to return for our next family vacation which we have already booked.
Book your next all inclusive holiday at the Barcelo Beach Resort, you will not be disappointed.
My family and I travelled to the Barcelo in August 2021.
The resort was spot on. Family friendly, lovely pools and there was always sun longer available...
The resort is right on the beach where there are lots of water activities available at a cost.
Masks had to be worn at the poolside bar, at the restaurant and during the evening shows. They were strict about this so remember to take lots of masks. The pool side bar would not serve you unless you had a mask on!
The food was the only reason why this resort didn’t get 5 stars. Limited vegetarian options and the food was basically the same most nights. The poolside bar was also limited in choice - chips and pastries for vegetarians. There was a salad option but it often included seafood/meat.
The animation team were great. They went above and beyond to make sure people were having a good holiday without being annoying! Chloe, Caroline, marta and allesandra were all great - ours kids enjoyed their company at the kids club!
We would defo recommend the resort despite lack of food choices as the good far outweighed the small bad 😊
