Designed as a small village, with pedestrian streets, squares and gardens, this hotel complex is located just 300 metres from Caleta de Fuste Beach. Thanks to the location and easy access to public transportation links, this hotel is ideal for a beach holiday and is also a great starting point from which to explore the island. The island's capital of Puerto de Rosario is about 10 km from the hotel and Fuerteventura international airport is 7 km away. Nearby, is Caleta de Fuste, a charming fishing village with a marina and a variety of restaurants, bars and shops.

Our 8th visit to Caleta and indeed Broncemar since 2015, so it goes without saying we like it here a little bit! The revamp seems to have given it a lot more chilled out feel. I brought my parents once (in their 60's) and it was too noisy and busy for them for them but I would reccomend it to them now. With that said theres plenty going on with the entertainment team for both kids and adults...
Sarah at the kids club is great, she collects the kids from the parents, tells them what there doing even going as far as asking about allergies and returns them to the parents at the end of each activity (our daughter is 8, we never let her out of our sight but we have certainly given her a lot more independence knowing that's she's well looked after). Activities start at 11 and are on and off all day until 8:30 when the disco finishes. It seems the familiar face of Antonio has gone as we never seen him this time so we wish him well, maybe we'll see him next time!
A mention about the life guard who was always active, tidying up and even helping less abled in and out of the pool.
We had room 191 which is a deluxe. The kitchen is well equipped with 2 hob oven, microwave, kettle, sink, cutlery, pots, pans and chopping board and has a fresh look. The sofa bed has also had an upgrade and it turns into a proper bed now (not just a sofa that you throw a sheet on). Storage for clothes ect is a little limited for 3 people but we managed and probably brought more than we needed anyway. The balcony had a double lounger which was perfect for relaxing.
We can't wait for visit No.9....
This was out first visit to the Broncemar with 3 adults staying self catering in a superior 1 bed apartment with private balcony (room 129). The hotel has recently had a refurbishment and looks amazing in the communal areas but the rooms let it down for us. The room had recently been refurbished however for self catering it lacked even the basics...
Negatives No air conditioning (although ok for this time of year) The kettle provided was a travel kettle which didn’t turn off, just kept boiling (not safe) Very basic kitchen equipment (no wine glasses, chopping board, plug for sink or washing up bowl). We were given wine glasses after asking reception. Sofa in lounge was very uncomfortable to sleep on. No storage for the 3rd person to store clothes in lounge area Nice black out curtains in the lounge area but two windows had no curtains or blinds so not much use Only 2 sun beds in balcony when it is a 3 person apartment. Asked at reception and was told we were not allowed a 3rd bed. However half an hour later one arrived. Towels poor quality and brown Shower tray leaking. Positives Apartment was in a peaceful location No problem getting sun beds by pool Friendly staff Overall I think the hotel communal areas warrant a 3plus or even 4 star rating but the rooms are only a 3 star but could be more with some adjustments.
We stayed self catering although they do all inclusive. I don’t ever stay all inclusive anymore so I can’t comment on the food and drink. What I can say is if you’re looking for a newly refitted smart, clean hotel in the heart of a resort then this it it...
The main reason I was attracted to this hotel is I’m here in November with the lower temperatures and people mentioned how warm the heated outdoor pool was. It didn’t fail. The pool temperature for the winter is brilliant. We were meant to be here for two nights and moving on around the island. We are still here and love it so much so we’ve extended to stay another two nights. The only negative which doesn’t really bother me is the planes flying above. I’ve been to Fuerteventura numerous times and knew this factor for this resort anyway. I can’t really give a negative. Love it.
I stayed here a few years ago before the refurbishment. It was good then but now it is so much better, a lovely hotel that is highly recommended by me and my family.Lovely staff and the hotel is so much more comfortable now.
Good: Great location, plenty of sunbeds (although the hotel was no where near full so not sure what it’s like in peak time. Spacious apartments, comfy bed.
Bad: Safe didn’t work, and had what looked like a bloody footprint outside. Reported, nothing done.
Stayed self catering but no chopping board or sharp knives, only standard cutlery.
Poor security, one day the maid cleaned the room and left the door wide open...
Another day I was feeling unwell and returned to my room (227) as it was being cleaned and the door was open. She just let me in no questions asked and left. It only occurred to me later that I could have been anyone. She should have made me open the door when my key card.
