Not even a 2 star

Review by nicktA9905YB Cala Millor, Spain

Worst place I've ever stayed!! How this place is a 3star is beyond me place needs to shut down and get a total makeover desperately, not just a lick of paint which is all it seems to have had in 20 years by the state of it. I know it's cheap but it's cheap and nasty not cheap and cheerful, it hasn't even got the basics right and it's so dirty and dated !

Cracked floor tiles all over the place , walls are flaking, windows and doors not secure, super thin walls to next door, and even to the next row above/below, furniture belongs in a skip including the beds on boards it's minging dirty , mirror cracked, shower rail fell off , took a photo then fixed it for them , no bath plug TV is pointless , you can get more channels for 20 euro from reception but you actually don't get them, as the signal drops out so don't waste your money. Big problem with ants inside the apartments Self catering would be an issue with that along with the lack of utensils and dodgy cooker. We were all inclusive and the food was pretty grim a lot of recycling leftovers rice pasta chips, poor salad and veg choice hot dog salad, Hot dog pizza, Every lunch and dinner pretty much the same with a couple of exeptions over the week . It's not clean ,plates and cutlery either wet or still dirty , loads of dishes with cracks and chips ...

First night we were kept awake until early hours by a loud drunk group shouting and swearing, complained to reception and asked to move but nothing done ! Meant to be a family resort !

Outside space isn't any better, trip hazards, rubbish all over the place cigarette ends literally everywhere . Definitely not for anyone with walking issues with the amount of steps up to the pool. The area outside the resort is even worse either half built or run down . Never again for me this place, very very poor

This place is terrible we were sold this as a self catering apartment. No kettle, toaster, microwave, knives, plug for the sink or a working cooker hob as the plug had been snipped off. When we complained they said the apartment doesn't come with a kettle or a toaster when I said is this something to do with covid we were told no we never supply them. How can you sell self catering apartments without these items.I have never stayed anywhere where these items were not supplied. My wife and I wedding anniversary was ruined .Couldn't make tea or coffee toast or cook anything.Did get a microwave and they suggested boiling water in that.Shocking service don't touch this place with a barge pole.

Second year coming here, kids enjoyed it last year so came back for them really,

The rooms are very dated and could do with a update, cockroaches and ants are a problem, they become very hot at night time and could benefit from air con. We had a better door this year as last year you could just pull it open.

The restaurant was hit and miss with the food, if you like pasta and rice then it’s fine but it gets repetitive, just a different sauce it seems, it can get very Smokey in there aswell when they are cooking on the grill, my wife can’t eat diary, fatty foods or foods cooked in excessive amounts of oil which most things were so we ended up eating away from the hotel 4/5 lunchtime meals so she could get a decent meal in her, I will say though that the pizza is really nice and the best thing they do.

The kids loved the pool area, the water spray part and the slides. Always sun loungers but no umbrellas at all (maybe because of the wind) the pool however had a green line all around it, a couple of nights they jet washed it off but it soon returned, also a couple of pairs of swim shorts and my daughters swim costume had a green tinge to them...

Overall the kids loved it but me and the wife found it stressful with the food situation and the hot sweaty rooms at night, Also we arrived at night and caught the last 15 mins of the night time meal however when we checked out they cut our bands of and was unable to get food or drink past 12 o’clock and we didn’t fly until 8:30pm I think we should have still been able to have lunch and a drink or two whilst waiting to go to the airport seen as the the first night we didn’t really use the all inclusive.

Not too bad for the Price

Review by eliharris Florida Keys, Florida

We travelled to this hotel arriving on the 24th Aug 21. We had a small one bed appt which had plenty of space but was very dated. The rooms did not have air con but a fan could be hired from reception for €30 for 2 weeks with a €10 deposit...

A little steep I thought but considering the price of the hotel with all nclusive for two weeks was £800 i couldunderstand this. The grounds and pools were very clean and all covid measures were followed and inforced. Ths sunloungers needed some attention as many were broken or worn. There were no umbrellas in the pool areas so shade was scarce. The food buffet was what youd expect in this price range and i will say i was impressed with some of the seafood dishes. The food catered for all with of coursethe usual pizza and chips avaible.
When entering an inside area a mask was required and if you forgot a polite reminder was given. On the first week of the holiday the kids club enternaier was dreadful and he was going through he motions and doing the minimum required. For the second week this changed and we had two replacements. Both Mickey and Ada were fanstic. They both cared about the kids and made sure they had fun along with the adults. I woud like to thank them both for making such an effort with limited resources. Overall we had a good relaxing time which after the passed 18 months was needed. On the plus the resort and pools were clean, the food was of a reasonable standard. On the down side the site was dated and noisy through the day due to being under the flight path. I did speak with the resort manager on the last day of the holiday to pass on some good comments regarding Mickey and Ada and he did advise the site was to soon have a referb. If your on a budget then this will fit the bill.
