Just returned from an 11 night stay at Ezera Mar and wish to give an honest but fair review. We were seriously concerned about the negative comments about the food before we left and raised our concerns with our tour operator. For the first few days the food was not hot and I contacted the manager about this and he thanked me for bringing this to his attention. There was an immediate improvement in the temperature of the food. The quality of the food is very poor there is no other word for this and I cannot understand why anyone can describe the food as being excellent! Makes me wonder what types of hotels these guests have been to in the past. The selection is limited yet there was never any time we could not find anything we could not eat. We took extra money with us as we thought we would have to eat out sometimes but this was not necessary. If the food quality was to improve it would make a huge difference to this hotel. The staff are excellent and went out their way to please. Lots of sunbeds but still get the same selfish people who leave towels on sunbeds and arrive hours later! We paid extra for a sea facing room but this proved to be a bad choice as the sun disappeared from the terrace at lunch time. The non sea view rooms had the sun from lunch time till around 7:30pm. Entertainment at night was excellent:- some of the best singers we have heard for a long time. All in all we had a good holiday. If like us you are worried about the various reports of the food please do not worry as again there was never any time during our stay when we were not able to find something we could eat.
Would I return to Ezera Mar? Probably not UNLESS THE FOOD WAS TO IMPROVE.

I read ALOT of reviews before I booked this hotel so thought it was important to leave my honest opinion for others. I'm just back from a 4 day relaxing break at this gorgeous hotel. The rooms were spacious and so spotless, it was luxury! Lovely wee extras...

Staff are brilliant, so friendly and can't do enough for you. Particularly in the restaurant/bar area. Read alot of reviews about the food, it's exactly as I expected it to be for a buffet style restaurant. Good selection, was always full and yes wasn't boiling but I honestly think people love to complain no matter where they are. Certainly didn't deserve the reviews some people have left. Entertainment was good, while I was there it seemed to be more older couples and everything was switched off by 11pm. Quite early for holiday but unfortunately staff had to put up with complaints about the noise.. at 11.. on holiday! Again if you left a bad review on this lovely hotel for the small bits of noise from the bar before midnight, shame on you! They are trying to facilitate everyone. The view from the infinity pool is unreal. So therapeutic watching the waves crash of the rocks. Plenty of sunbeds available. Location perfect for walking into the town centre. Not alot for younger couples but suited us as I was with my mum. Complentary shower room available for flight day and they give you towels which is great. Was half board but all inclusive would have been better value as drinks like gin can be pricey. TV can be connected to netflix with the right app. Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in abroad. Decor is modern and rain shower was heaven. Would definitely return.

Nice break away

Review by sunloverkel123 Leeds, United Kingdom

We visited on the 15th October 2019 for a week - sorry for the delay. 2 friends travelling.

We have stayed next door hotel San Jorge previously so had seen this hotel prior the refurb...

Most say it looks a lot better and stands out against the other hotels in the area.

After staying at the San Jorge we chose this hotel as we knew it wouldn't be a 'family' hotel and as such wouldn't have tons of noise and we were right.

Check is easy enough - however word of warning you need a print out of our hotel booking - in the days of app's and pretty much just leaving home with a mobile boarding pass and my passport this shocked me - surly you should have our booking as it was made by a main tour operator - so wasted a good 5 mins having to email them our booking.

We were given a room on the 2 floor facing the road, so not amazing views but the road is quiet and you get the afternoon sun on the balcony.

The rooms are lovely, very modern, comfy beds and the shower is amazing. You get fresh water every day and you have a mini fridge as well.

we were all inc however we had already planned on eating out every night as been stuck in the hotel isn't our thing, for us the price for inclusive was the same as some self catering in the area and easily covered lunch, drinks etc..

Food wise - this is a small inc hotel as such the buffet is small, if you go to a large resort yes you get multiple options, al carte restaurants etc, but at this price point and the hotel size the food was what I expected it to be. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was the same every day - you also could have cava for breakie - a nice touch. Lunch could be hit and miss but always had something to eat. Main issue was labelling, you had to guess what a lot of the food was, and a girl we got to know was veggie and more than one occasion was told something was meat free when it wasn't. There is a fresh cooking station which had something new every day however again you had to guess... We didn't eat at night but did pop in one evening and it didn't look the best.

Drinks - beer very good, wine in the bar - undrinkable but in the restaurant lovely, esp the rose. It's not easy to understand what is free and what isn't, but you can get cava as part of the all inc if you like your bubbles like we do. Soft drinks and water where fine. A lot of people have said you should have cocktails included well I've not seen this in any European inc I have stayed in, generally a Caribbean/Egypt/Mexico affair but what I have seen and might work is a cocktail of the day.

Pools - because of the position of the hotel, if you are all day sunbather then you'll find yourself chasing the sun. There's more than enough sunbeds however finding ones that have the sun all day - IMHO there's 4 on the roof top.. and if you can get the ones on the front pool your a better person then me ie up at 6am, but saying that they lose the sun at 4pm..

This is a nice quiet hotel and really suited what we wanted and we went understanding that the food and drink would not be amazing but would be okay enough for the day time when we just want to relax.

Personally we found the hotel very clean and staff very friendly. If you can get it for the right price and just want a relaxing quiet week away then this place is for you.
