This Hotel sits in Las Palmas, capital of one the important famous Canarias Islands, Grand Canaria. It is 23 km distance from Gran Canaria airport approximately 30 minutes car ride. Spectating a beautiful sunset and swimming in crystal-clear water is a must in the beautiful Las Canteras beach right in front of this hotel, this beach is boarded by a natural reef providing protection to swimmers. Numerous attractions within the area invite travellers to explore this fantastic zone. Shopping malls at a short stroll distance for those shopping lovers. Travellers can learn about local biodiversity at the near aquarium, only 600 metres distance. Modern and distinguished, this is one of the best hotels in the zone to stay as it offers excellent cosy rooms with the best ocean views and equipped with parquet floor and tv. The spectacular pools in this establishment are the best amenities this hotel has; it is worth immersing in each one of them as they are unique. Wellness and spa centre complement the list of excellent services.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Misleading information

Bull Reina Isabel&Spa gives misleading information. On the website there is a list on all facilities that can be reached with a wheel chair, but no information that no room is adjusted for disabled. Thus the hotel is ok for wheelchairs but not for disabled...

This fact should be conveyed to potenial customers. Warning - the hotel cannot accomodate any one disabled. The manager Alfredo, a little bureacratic moron will not acknowledge any of the above. He refuses to listen to suggestions of improvement. Staff is ok but little Alfredo should seek another job.

A warm and friendly welcome from the staff which extends to all the staff throughout the stay with nothing was too much trouble attitude. Excellent service. Room and hotel very clean...

Comfortable beds and lovely rain shower with plenty of space in the bathroom. Would have loved a bathrobe though! Breakfast had lots of choice which caters for vegans too .. alternative milk , lots of fresh fruit, cereals and beans and mushrooms on toast - do need a dairy free butter offering to complete however the best we have seen at a buffet for us poor vegans !!! Dont worry the hotel offers everything else too for those of you wanting inflammation and heart disease ( meat and diary!!) Amazing location right on the beach with access to a wondeful prom and private sunbeds and parasols just for this hotel. Spa is super special with views out to sea and a salt water floating pool which made our skin look incredible. The rooftop pool is also special with the views- space for yoga looking out to sea and a well equipped gym. Highly recommend for a break in this lovely city. Finally if you want the best hospitality and food on the island go to the Restaurante Etiopico Afrika ( only 6 euros in a taxi from the hotel)

Good tourist hotel right at the beach with great brekafast

I stayed at this hotel for the last week of October. Location is nice directly at Canteras beach (Playa de Las Canteras), and views from room #541 were stunning, but be aware, that all the noises from beach promenade, bars and restaurants are clearly heard into the room. However, the view is a lot nicer than on the other side of the hotel above parking lot.

Room was biggish and there were two huge wardrobes in the hall, where in one of them was safety box...

Separate coat/hat hooks were on the wall (why there aren’t normally any?). Two separate beds instead of double one was a shame as they didn’t stay together. Balcony facing the sea had two plastic chairs and a table. Bathroom was okay, a bit outdated with bath and lousy water pressure and unsteady temperature.

Breakfast was really good, superb buffet with everything one needs, fresh coffee in pots, eggs and omelettes to order and so on. From someone from Nordic country like myself breads are always disappointing, but eatable.

Biggest problem was the worst Internet connection I have ever experienced. It was just not working throughout the one week stay. Nothing happened no matter how many times you complained, nicely or aggressively. So if you are depended on it, go somewhere else, or bring your own connectivity.

Environmental program was another joke. They have replaced plastic straws and mugs with paper ones that won’t do the job (won’t last but break up) for the sake of environment, but changed towels every day even against your will, hello? However, I still recommend this hotel as there are not many good hotels in Las Palmas, but with a few little things they could make this a wonderful hotel.

Still good, but no longer great.

We stayed at Reina Isabel on Playa De Las Canteras in May 2019, and it was great. We returned in October 2021, for our first holiday in the post-covid era. We enjoyed our stay this time, as many of the good things about the hotel still apply...

It’s location on the Paseo De Las Canteras is terrific, stepping right out onto the beach and bagging a free hotel sunbed and brolly is just fabulous. The breakfast buffet is good, the spa and gym are lovely too. Sadly, there were quite a few things that weren’t quite as good as before, and we couldn’t quite work out whether these were due to covid measures, cost-cutting, or attempts to implement ecologically-friendly practices. The opening hours of the spa had been reduced, their ‘fine dining’ restaurant Summum was closed, the wifi was shockingly bad, the cups and glasses in the rooms had been replaced with paper cups, the toiletries in the bathrooms were ‘own brand value’ equivalents in brown paper wrapping. The air-con in the reception toilets appeared to have been switched off. I appreciate hotels have to comply with covid regulations, in order to keep customers and staff safe. I also appreciate times have been hard for the hospitality sector, and they need to cut costs in order to remain viable. Most people would also applaud sensible measures to reduce the impact that the hotel has on the environment. Sadly this all combines to reduce the quality of the services on offer. Maybe this is the reality of post-covid travel, I don’t know. But given the cost of staying at the Reina Isabel, I don’t think it offers good value for money any longer.

Nice hotel, good rooms and breakfast

Stayed here for a week. Seaside rooms have excellent views especially if you are above 2nd floor. Breakfast was above avegare, nut a big minus for the elevators...

One was all week out of use, and the remaining one did not react to our floor button, so had always to go to 5th and walk down to 4th. Roof pool, spa and gym were very nice.
