Radisson Blu Resort Gran Canaria

The Radisson is an Aparthotel not a hotel (my understanding is the suites are privately owned but rentals are managed by Radisson) . The rooms are mostly large one/two bedroom suites overlooking the sea with full kitchen facilities , great for families . You arrive on the 11th floor where the small reception is located also a nice outside bar overlooking the sea , there are no other public rooms / lounges or entertainment in the evening (apart from singer at the evening buffet ) , both breakfast and dinner buffets are very good . All staff are very friendly and helpful . The kids club is a non event with a few swings and a building with seemingly no children . Great pool area but little or no drinks service , be prepared to fetch your own drinks , Highly recommended if you want a quiet break without entertainment

We’ve just returned from a 9 night stay in room 509, situated on the 5th floor. A one bedroom suite with stunning views over sea and Anfi Del Mar. This hotel is not in Arguineguin, it’s sat 2 minutes from Anfi Del Mar in Patalavaca. The room was spacious, well thought out and with the best views of the Atlantic I think you could find in this part of Gran Canaria. The whole vibe just oozed relaxation, no typical hotel sun bed grabs, respectful guests, a real happy mix of nationalities where everyone just seemed to get along. The team were standout, from initial welcome at reception, through the friendly cleaning team, to the pool bar and restaurant waiting staff, everyone we encountered is a true credit to the resort, so friendly, warm and welcoming. Sure there’s a few maintenance pieces if you go looking for them, but it’s evident that these are being addressed with least impact to those staying, which in my opinion is the right approach. We’ll visit again. That’s the sign of finding somewhere good. We’d recommend to families, couples, solo travellers. Evening entertainment is low key, which we enjoy, if you want it livened up a little, leave the hotel and nip to Anfi Del Mar, or hope on the ferry to Mogan, taxi or bus back.
