Terrazas de Abama are luxury apartments in the most exclusive Tenerife. With one, two or three bedrooms each, and private open terraces ranging from 28 to 123m2, these luxury rentals provide spectacular views of the ocean and the resort's subtropical gardens. Moreover, the complex is centrally located between the first and second holes of our lush golf course, just a short walk from the clubhouse. Our duplex penthouses are the epitome of elegance. These 3-bedroom luxury flats each have a 123m2 open terrace on their upper level, equipped with an outdoor grill and an exterior jacuzzi from which to enjoy the panoramic views. The ethnic modern interiors are designed to meld seamlessly into the natural Tenerife environment, with the open-concept living spaces flowing easily into the outdoor terraces and the landscape beyond.

Wonderful experience

Review by Lalita_Sharma London, United Kingdom

We visited with as a family - 2 kids under 5, 4 grandparents, my husband and I. We booked the 4-bed suite and it was fantastic. The suite was lovely and had pretty much everything we needed for the family - most basic household amenities...

You'd need to take your own washing up liquid though. The balcony spanned the whole suite with doors from each bedroom! The view was gorgeous - the golf course and the sea.

Breakfast was a highlight - the waiters were really friendly and generous with everything. There was a different breakfast everyday! Delish. There is one restaurant within the hotel - amazing food and lovely options. We also visited the Ritz-Carlton for dinner which is just down the road for a bit if variety. MB is highly recommended. Wonderful experience and spectacular food!

All the staff were helpful and went out of their way to help with our needs, from supporting us find a chef to ordering a takeaway. We used the hotel's transfer service to get to and from the local beach and also to dinner at the Ritz-Carlton.

Our 4 year old went to the kids club for a couple of days which was really excellent. It's a short walk from the hotel and really flexible - reasonable too. The range of activities was varied and my daughter wanted to go back.

The swimming pools were really fun and not too busy at this time of year. Again the staff were lovely and really generous with towels. The pool bars offered lovely cocktails. The little Haagan Daaz tubs of ice cream were pretty expensive though - 8 euros!

To suggest improvements it would be lovely to have a kids area - a small playground perhaps. Also, a bar area where you can hangout in the evenings.

Overall, we had a wonderful 8 days! Thank you!

Clean and great service

Review by claremuk1 . LA, CA

Beautifully clean facilities and well maintained grounds and pools. As a non golfing family we did find the location high up from the beach a bit tiresome but the staff did their upmost best to transport us up and down to the beach. A special mention must go to Radik from reception who’s positive can do attitude was outstanding...

He was a definite highlight of our stay-he did everything and anything to make sure we were happy and taken care of!!!! Bravo Radik!

Fantastic week at a beautiful resort

Review by 294ChrisW Champagnolles, France

Just returned from a fantastic week long stay with my wife and our 3 children (ages 5, 3 and 6 months old baby).

We were initially in apartment 304 which is on the ground floor, front level with views out over the golf course and sea. Modern, high-end accommodation and a fairly well equipped kitchen. However the jacuzzi was faulty (very quickly checked by an engineer once we reported it) so they offered to move us up to suite 711 which is an incredible top-floor 3-bed suite with a wrap-round balcony, incredible views of the surrounding area and sea...

Spectacular view of the sunset each night from the terrace or sat in the jacuzzi with a cold drink.

Unfortunately our 5 year old son came down with chickenpox just after we arrived, so we spent a lot of time at the apartment with him, but he was happy enough playing on the large terrace, splashing in the jacuzzi and watching Disney+ on the huge brand new TV in the living area! The Kids Camp looked fantastic but with the chickenpox we weren't able to use sadly.

Breakfast was very good, plenty of choices and a hard-working team of staff.

If you're visiting with young children like we were, you do need to be a little organised with the fairly limited on-site dining options. I took a €6 taxi down to the local supermarket and stocked up on bits so we were able to do some simple meals using the kitchen in the apartment. For evening meals, once the kids had gone down to sleep we ordered a few takeaways from local area (reception helped with menus and ordering) as well as from the Melvin restaurant. Towards the end of the week once our son was feeling better, we booked a babysitter via Peques Babysitter Service and had an amazing meal on-site at the Melvin restaurant.

The resort itself is beautiful, incredibly well maintained and the swimming pools were great. Our 3 year old daughter spent hours splashing about in the small kids pool. All the staff were very friendly and helpful; they were able to quickly arrange for a Doctor to visit us on our final day to check our son was no longer contagious and "fit to fly" home, plus issue a certificate (costing €130 so a very expensive 10 minute visit!!). We did venture down to the small Abama beach on our last day using the free-shuttle provided by the resort, it was a really hot day so the beach was very busy but the kids enjoyed it. Half the beach is reserved for residents at the Ritz.

There's not much going on in the surrounding area but that was fine with us, we were looking for a quiet, relaxing week away and chickenpox aside, that's exactly what we did. Would definitely recommend and if we were to go back to Tenerife again would certainly visit again.
