North facing and never gets the sun on it.My be good on hot days in the summer, we were there for a month in Feb/March A large single busy and noisy dining room described in brochure as lively - it is certainly that. No dress code in the evenings so you find some turning up in shorts, sandals a sweat shirt whilst others, particularly the ladies had made an effort to dress well. Single large internal bar and sitting area. No place to be quiet other than your room. If you are disabled the entrance and exit is not good unless the hairdresser is operational when the hotel entrance near his door is open. Although hand sterilising gell is at the entrancee to the restaurant there was no attempt to ensure everyone used it - they did not. The island had the coronavirus panic with confirmed cases in hotels but still no attempt to enforce the use of hand steriliser. The restaurant staff were polite and efficient, good range of food, self service except for wines etc. Room service very variable.
If you are fully inclusive then be warned - the house wines are 10% and standing a glass of white next to the water glass you will have a job knowing which is which, taste of free wine mediocre. You would not go to this side of the island if you wanted beach, this is a rocky area but far nicer than the concrete jungle in the south called Las Americas. Easy walks into town
I’m really shocked that this hotel is a 5 star. The staff are really nice and the rooms were lovely. My problem was there’s nothing for kids...
There’s no swimming pool for children or entertainment. It’s not suited at all for young families. I will not be returning anytime Soon.
My friend stayed here whilst visiting me from England.. what a disappointment it was. I live in the same area as the hotel and its outward appearance is shockingly shoddy for something which us rated as 5 stars...my friend said it was pretty average on all fronts internally too...I think there was a mistake when it was rated, definitely only a 3-4 stars at best.
Me and my wife spent a night at this Hotel. we were luck to have parking just near the entrance (parking places are full at thsi environment). The hotel location is about 20-30 min walking from the center...
we walked 1 way and came back with a taxi. Room was clean, beds OK, bathroom OK, sea view is great , WiFi OK , breakfast OK.
If you are looking for a stay vacation in a nice clean hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff with good service this is for you as it centrally located with rooms with a lovely Ocean view rooms. The food is good for buffet style but after 3 weeks here the food gets a little tired as we are not big buffet eaters when we travel but travelling with a group of 50 we did not have a choice
