So I booked the hotel based on the other recommendations but unfortunately was disappointed. Yes it is inexpensive but I still expect more! The bed was so not comfy and ended up hurting my back. The mattresses are simply old and need to be replaced. There were also two single beds instead of one which made this even more disturbing. The breakfast is not good.... old bread, a weird mixed drink they call orange juice and the coffee is simply some powdered drink. The hotel is close to the beach which is nice and close to entertainment but the basics simply aren’t met here like a good night sleep and a decent coffee and breakfast. I wouldn’t return.
Stayed in the Hotel with a hiking group for one week. It is a simple but clean and cheap hotel with friendly staff. The house has seen some better years so the beds were not very comfortable. Missed a good coffee in the morning and some fresh orange juice. Instant coffee comes out of a machine and juice is like an orange undefined liquid. So recommend take breakfast outside. All in all the friendly staff helps over this negative part. Location is very nice in downtown Puerto La Cruz, rooms with balcony and ocean view.
The location is great, 1 km to Loro Parque,300 m to bus station, 300m to the city centre and 100 m to the beach. It's a very clean hotel, nice staff, good food. The pool was ok also. If You want to visit the island, that hotel is perfect for U.
This hotel is more suited to the backpackers of this world. The mattress was very hard, backache to prove it, although room was a good size there was rising damp on the walls with plaster blowing and falling off, the walls were badly marked and the curtain pelmet dirty. There was one socket in the room which you were not permitted to use if the hotel did not provide the equipment, light switches not working. Lots of rules and regs even down to sun loungers not allowed in rooms? Breakfast was designed for the Europeans and even the fruit juice was more like squash made in a machine with water, coffee undrinkable. You were warned that if you tried to take food from the dinning hall you would be charged by the head waiter, card on table to reiterate. This hotel reminded me of a B and B in the 1950's with the strict landlady. We did think of moving but being Christmas there wasn't a lot else around, and for the first time we actually wanted to come home.
The pool bar was hardly ever open and you were not permitted to use it after 8pm
This is a really nice small and quiet hotel. Professional friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and decent (if not great) but varied food. The location of the hotel is good, walking distance to beaches and the old town and there is a nice pool. It is a refreshing change from large "industrial " hotels.
