My family has just returned from Adalya Art Side 5*. We stayed there for 10 days. The biggest drawback with this hotel, IMHO, is smoking! It was terrible...
Wherever you are, you can feel it, especially neat the pool, on the terrace and in the main restaurant. Although its inner part is non-smoking, the smell from the terrace comes in through the open doors, which is twice as worse with kids when you're going around the restaurant looking for a place to dine but you can't. The terrace, overlooking the pool and the garden, is given to smokers, so non-smokers have to either wait for the time when it's free or eat and literally choke on fumes. The pool area is also for smokers. It does look like the hotel's priority but then, dear staff, you should claim it: you are a smoking hotel, mainly for adults and not for families with kids. The food was quite standard for Turkey. If you travel with kids, I wouldn't recommend it if they are used to home-made food (like my son). I myself got a food poisoning and had to stay in bed for two days. The upsides to this hotel are the staff at reception and the restaurant (very helpful, they speak Russian, German and English) and the location (3/5-minute walk to the beach along the quiet street). Overall, the experience could have been better, at least that's what we had expected when booking the tour. Once again, I don't recommend it for families with children, non-smokers and people leading a healthy life style.
5 stars out of everything! Nice, clean rooms, nice common areas with shaded garden, delicious food. They speak English. Not on the beach, but a short walk is not a problem...
Good food on the beach. Good to remember!
My small family of 3 visited in July. The hotel/resort was made up of mostly german clientele, & some russian. The staff did not speak or understand English, not even "cola light" was understood...
It was an uncomfortable experience, & didn't feel like an international experience at all. The pool was excellent, huge, spacious, despite the high tourist numbers. The downside is that if you don't reserve beds with towels there's literally no chance you'll get a bed. There are signs up stating "no towel bed reservations", but no one takes any notice, nor any action taken. The food was plentiful, & of a good standard. The ice cream "diner" was simply too small to accommodate the numbers, & the waffle stand was ridiculously slow, often 1 person manning both ice cream & waffles. If you're not a fan of German, you are unlikely to appreciate the pool music & kiddies disco. My 4yr old daughter loves mini discos, & even she turned her nose up at it. There are some shops at the hotel, but beware, you'll be paying prices similar to at home. The room standard was ok, nothing more. Cleaning services, excellent. The central lift/elevator was a ridiculous scenario. One tiny lift to accommodate the entire 5 story hotel. It was hot, sweaty, & slow with endless stops. We were on the 5th floor, I chose to use the stairs. Overall the experience was mediocre, would I go again? Absolutely not...
Visited the hotel July 2021. Very hot.. if you like the heat- this is the place to be...
If not, better visit the hotel later in summer.
Overall it was bad that there was no international alcohol. For ultra all inclusive we had better expectations. The food was ok, but it was almost the same every day. We hoped to get more sea food, but there was only 1 fish each day and maybe some additions. But no crabs etc.. The shower was not working properly in our number. We wanted to go to fish a la carte restaurant , but it was not possible because the demand was too big. Very sorry for that :( should be an option to give the customers what they want..
The pool is big and great. Air conditioning was good. There are many shops near by the hotel.
I can say that 2 waiters were SUPER good . Byram is the best and most careful and fun waiter. Please give this guy a raise! He was really fun and positive. We loved the guy!!! 💯 Other guy sorry but I don't remember the name, but he goes by name "Speedo". Because he was super fast! Also the bartender on lobby bar was great (don't remember the name either). These 3 guys made our experience much much better! :)
Adalya art Side is part of the adalya family with 3 of the hotels alongside one another, the adalya art hotel is needs to re evaluate the 5 star ultra all inclusive rating.
The reception check in team are hit & miss if you went at night time with a problem it took a few visits to resolve.
Ultra all inclusive but certain charges are applied the safe is charged at a daily cost of 2 euros with a 10 euro deposit, towels if not returned are chargeable, freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast is chargeble etc...
Many hotels are now offering free Wi-Fi access Adalya has free Wi-Fi in the lobby but is slow and unreliable.
Mehmet from the reception team is a asset he speaks multiple languages & I think does a better job with liasing with guests than most of the reception team.
Rooms are modern but issues with the fridge room key cards work when they feel like it.
Food is good with lots of variety of dishes but very repetitive and you can easily get bored hit & miss, would help if the pizza counter at the pool would let you choose your toppings but they don't.
Overall in Antalya region i would say that Adalya chain needs to up there game as there is a lot of 5 star hotels in the region that really make the 5 star experience wow for the guests.
