This family-friendly beach hotel enjoys a wonderful setting in the district of Colakli. The hotel is located just 10 km away from the historical attractions at Side. Shops and Iokantas are situated close by, in Kumkoy. Links to the public transport network can be found nearby. This wonderful hotel comprises beautifully-designed guest rooms, which offer comfort and convenience in a peaceful setting. Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great fun - a lot of German guests so great if you can speak the language or want to practise, but overall a great experience. The staff are fantastic, everyone is so nice and welcoming, Yusuf and Lucas in particular are so fun and take great care of you! Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel with an amazing atmosphere and vibe! Food is delicious and in a beautiful buffet restaurant. Lovely location and offers out of hotel excursions easy to get taxis and see the city. Lovely rooms, big and spacious and there is the option for it to be cleaned everyday and towels and amenities are changed! The staff are so lovely and shout out to Yusuf and Lucas who were so lovely and friendly and made us feel so welcome at the resort thank you so much! Majority of customers are German but they included us and made us feel so welcome so thank you so much! All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was an amazing experience
Nice place to stay for short vacations. The hotel is rated as 5*. I agree with 5* when it comes to the hotel’s personnel, wifi service, food and outdoor pool. The room we stayed in, was in decent size, very clean, good quality beds and very nice balcony with view. What I was disappointed with was that in 5* hotel in 2025 there is no smart tv with streaming service. There was a small outdated TV set with cable channels in German and Turkish languages only. I also didn’t like the quality of bathroom supplies such as towels and toiletries. It was only two containers with liquid soap, one at the sink and the other at the tub. No shampoo or conditioner, no any lotion either. Usually in 5* you get these all.
We had a wonderful stay at Alba Queen Hotel. The hotel exceeded our expectations with its clean, comfy rooms, beautiful grounds, and a wide range of facilities. The breakfast bar had something for everyone, the pool area was spotless, and the location was perfect for easy access to nearby sights. We would like to extend special thanks to Ali, our guide and trip coordinator. His meticulous organization, profound local knowledge, and attentive, courteous manner greatly enhanced our experience. Ali’s proactive approach, clear communication, and thoughtful recommendations ensured a smooth, safe, and memorable trip from start to finish.
This hotel came recommended, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. In my opinion, this is not a five-star resort by any reasonable standard—closer to a three-and-a-half at best. That said, I did my best to enjoy the holiday, but I won’t be returning.
General Impressions The property feels tired, with dated 1970s-style décor, scuffed flooring, and damaged picture frames throughout. Staff were largely disengaged and at times indifferent—something you don’t expect from a so-called luxury resort. Food & Dining Experience This was arguably the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The main buffet lacked variety and quality. Dinner service is between 7–9pm, yet unless you arrive after 8pm, seating is a challenge—and by 8:40pm, food is already being cleared away. Queues were long, the atmosphere chaotic, and service felt transactional at best unless a tip was involved. Particularly disheartening was watching hotel managers dine calmly while guests struggled to find tables.
Rooms The rooms were basic but functional. Air conditioning worked well, but amenities were lacking—only one pillow per person, and oddly, after tipping the maid on day two, housekeeping standards noticeably declined. At one point, my duvet was even removed and not replaced. The TV never worked despite raising the issue, and the in-room safe was an additional charge—something I’ve never encountered at any other supposed five-star property.
Entertainment The entertainment offering was minimal and clearly not geared toward English-speaking guests. Activities lacked energy and initiative, with most conducted in German or Turkish. Evening shows were uninspired and took place in a cramped amphitheatre with uncomfortable plastic seating.
Pool & Outdoor Facilities The pool was a highlight—good size, clean, and with enjoyable slides. However, sunbeds were in very short supply. Despite rules stating no reserving before 8am, most loungers were taken by 6am, with staff seemingly turning a blind eye unless tipped to "hold" towels. The beach bar had a pleasant atmosphere, but food was repetitive—pizza, chips, and burgers day in and day out.
Summary This is not a five-star resort. It may edge into four-star territory in some areas, but overall felt more like a solid three. I did manage to enjoy parts of my stay, but was ultimately relieved when it came to an end. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
