The complex is located within 800m of a long, sandy beach to the west of Side village which is 2km away and where guests will find a great museum, amphitheater and the Temple of Apollo, as well as a lot of shops and restaurants. Public transport is available less than 200m from the complex. Refurbished, this apart hotel consists of 150 apartments and studios located in a main building and an annex. Occupying 6,000sqm, there is a spacious garden and large outdoor pool. Other amenities include a restaurant and snack bar, a mini market, game and TV room and 24hr reception service. The studios and apartments are simply furnished and equipped with a kitchenette suitable for making light meals/snacks, air-conditioning and hire safe box.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We just returned from a 7 night stay, and we came back rather disappointed. We arrived around 3am with our girls, shown to our room with no offer of a drink or snack. There was a kettle in our room, with 3 cups for a family of 4 and no complementary tea or coffee. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a selection of foods, but very repetitive. We are not fussy but a bit of variety would have been good. The drinks were also disappointing, with a limited selection of drinks, even for the children. The pool area was ok, but a life guard on the slides would help, our girls wouldn't use them as smaller children were running up the slides and they were worried about hurting them. There is a mosque very close by, beautiful, but at 5am every day they blasted their morning prayer. Wasn't a problem for us, but if you want a lay in it could be. Alex the manager was fun, but some staff could do with learning about customer service and being friendly. Again as mentioned, there was no outdoor seating. We like to sit out of an evening, our girls are too old for entertainment, and we like to sit, have a drink and chat, so we ended up going to the red lion pub round the corner most nights - great atmosphere, good quality food and drink, and 20% of the bill for cat garden visitors. We won't be returning, as overall we were left rather disappointed.
Great staff, especially Ahmet who fixed us a great Safari day!
The all inclusive food was OK+, nothing bad,but limited choices, the meal windows are 1,5 to 2 hours (2 hour breakfast).
The rooms was great, big, clean and cleaned everyday by nice washing ladies.
The pools were good and clean, 2 separate was totally ok.
The location was good, just a quick walk to markets and beach (also free shuttle bus couple of times a day back and forth (10 min walk).
All in all great value for money, the only thing we reacted to was a mosque near by that was on speakers at 5 in the morning and 12 at night, lasted only 15 minutes,so no biggie🙂
We stayed at Catty Cat Garden Hotel for 10 days and, unfortunately, came away feeling quite disappointed with the overall experience. We arrived at around midnight and were shown to our room, but there was no offer of any food or drink, and there were no bottles of water waiting in the room. After travelling at that time of night, even a small welcome gesture would have been appreciated. The housekeeping was one of the biggest disappointments. We were told that towels would be changed every three days, but during our 10-day stay they were only changed once, and that was after we specifically requested it on day five. We are also unsure whether the bedding was changed at all during our stay. The room was only cleaned a handful of times, and on the occasions it was, the bedding often looked as though it had simply been thrown over the bed rather than properly made. What was particularly concerning was finding a cleaner in our room on our final day, before we had checked out. They did not appear to have any cleaning equipment with them, while their trolley was positioned a considerable distance away at the other end of the pool area. This left us questioning what exactly was being done in terms of housekeeping. The food was another area where we felt the hotel could improve. There was technically something for everyone, but the choices were very repetitive. Meals consisted largely of things such as fish fingers, burgers, meatballs, spaghetti bolognese, pizza, chips and rice, with very similar options being served at both lunch and dinner. The drinks selection was also quite limited, with wine and beer being the main alcoholic options available during lunch and dinner. The bar itself is open from 10:30 until 22:30. Entertainment was fairly limited during our stay, and there wasn't really much comfortable seating where families and friends could sit together and spend the evening. We often found ourselves going for walks instead. The lack of seating also seemed to contribute to the pool areas being covered in used cups in the mornings, as guests would leave them behind and they didn't appear to be collected until the following morning. There was a foam party on the Wednesday of our stay, but this did not take place the following week. There were rumours among guests that the foam party was linked to a number of people subsequently experiencing sickness and diarrhoea, including our own child. However, I cannot say that the foam party was the cause, only that this was something being discussed by guests at the time. There was also discussion about illness on a Facebook page relating to the hotel. We did notice that some negative comments appeared to disappear, which gave us the impression that criticism of the hotel was being moderated quite heavily. This made it difficult to get a balanced picture of other guests' experiences. One positive point is that on the day of checkout, guests are still allowed to use the hotel facilities, including the pool. There is a dedicated locked room where suitcases can be left, and we understand that there is also a shower available for guests to use after checking out, although we didn't personally use this facility. Overall, there were some positives, particularly the fact that the facilities remain available after checkout, and there was enough variety in the food to find something to eat. However, the housekeeping, limited entertainment, lack of evening seating, repetitive food and limited drinks selection significantly affected our experience. For a 10-day holiday, we expected a better standard of service and cleanliness. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would be unlikely to return.
We came here last year and we returned this year the hotel is fantastic, the staff are so friendly and helpful.
We will be returning next year
