Port River Hotel and Spa

3time writing this review due to trip advisor.. but I feel compelled, having read negative reviews before arriving.. we’re having a lovely time, Hard working ppl the hotel is clean & the food enjoyable, no dicky bellies. I have enjoyed the salad & fruit bars, my son has enjoyed the plain pasta, we have all enjoyed the rotisserie chicken, Kabab meat, my husband has got on well with the fish. My son has particularly enjoyed the fresh pancakes with choc spread & lunchtime freshly made pizza’s & mid afternoon ice cream for all. The beach bar has plenty of food & drink options too. There are sun beds available to follow the sun around, equally shade is available at both pool & beach (pebbly, take water shoes). All in all nothing the to complain about for the reasonable price paid at peak time, for those who expect more they need to pay more & go else where. Enjoyed a “safari bus” trip out u will spend a much on the drinks & water guns, entrance for the zoo, extra’s as u did for the trip, take cash, they don’t take cards. We had a fun day & it was enjoyable highlights being the water fight & swim the fresh clean lake. Excellent massages available at the hotel my husband & I have had x3each reasonably priced too. Happy holidays x I would recommend this hotel.
