Bagevleri Hotel

We are currently staying here and we are having the best time. The hotel is set in a central location so within walking distance of the beach and local bars and restaurants. The staff at this hotel can’t do enough for you. A special shout out to Pete the bar man for his humour and amazing service. We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.

First, we had to wait for check-in because they couldn’t find our booking.

When we finally got to our room, we were given a single bed instead of the double bed we had booked. We went to the front desk and asked if this was really a double room. The staff member checked and confirmed that it was not, so he called the manager.

Unfortunately, the manager’s attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. He accused his own colleague of lying and insisted that the room was a double. When we asked for our money back because we had not received the room we booked, he became angry and told us that he owned the hotel and that we should “deal with it.” When we pointed out that his colleague had told us it was a single room, he replied, “I don’t have colleagues.” He acted as though he was above everyone and refused to properly address our concerns.

We then asked if he could show us another room, but he claimed that everything was fully booked. When we asked whether there were any other rooms available, he said there were only double rooms and rooms with three beds, which made the whole situation even more frustrating.

Thankfully, the next day we went back to the front desk and spoke with a lovely lady who worked there. She was helpful and professional, and she finally arranged a room with two beds for us. We really appreciated her kindness, especially after the experience we had the previous day.

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. The room was not properly cleaned during our stay. Instead, it seemed that they simply replaced the towels and emptied the garbage without actually cleaning the room.

Overall, the experience was very disappointing. The way the manager treated us was unacceptable, and the lack of proper housekeeping made the stay even worse. The one positive thing was the lovely lady at the front desk who actually listened to us and helped resolve the room issue.

We would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

2nd stay at this great family run hotel lovely basic room with fridge and a good size balcony with pool view but it all that you need, great pool area lovely relaxing bar/food area sitting under the tree in the sun in lovely, and they allow my daughter and her family inc my grandson who are residents of Gumbet to use the pool and facilities
