The Lux Le Morne Hotel strikes the perfect balance. It's small enough to maintain that wonderfully exclusive feel. But its facilities are wide-ranging. This is a five star, boutique hotel set in magnificent grounds, with everything you could ever want to while away a week or two in absolute luxury.
Naturally, paradise comes with its own private beach: a 600 meter long, soft, sandy beach that leads out to the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. There is a choice of four swimming pools – you can get some exercise in the lap pool, take a leisurely dip in the garden pool, or splash around to your heart's content in the main hotel pool. And the wonderful infinity pool leads out to the ocean.
Anyone whose idea of heaven includes as much golf as they can cram into a week will be impressed by a choice of two world-class courses nearby. While back at the Lux Le Morne Hotel there is a fitness centre to limber up in, and a spa to relax in after laps around the pool or turn around the golf course. You can set your own relaxation programme, or opt to pamper in private if you prefer.
There's a mouth-watering array of dishes to tempt you – some local specialities, some fresh seafood (of course), and some Asian inspired flavours too. But it's safe to say that the Lux Le Morne Hotel caters for every taste.
When the time comes to head for bed, the Lux Le Morne Hotel has one more treat in store. Rooms are beautifully furnished in a traditional style. Polished wooden floors and simple furniture set the scene. Rooms are ensuite (with a beautiful marble bathroom) and feature a private dressing room, as well as ceiling fan, LCD TV, DVD, minibar, Wi-Fi internet and safe. Sea-facing suites are also available at a supplement.

Honeymoon went well!
We came for our honeymoon. It was just a great time! Le Morne was a gorgeous area and it had a drier weather than the rest of the island, it was not very humid like Port Louis or Grand Baie. LUX was such a warm and welcoming place to stay! We loved the welcome items as we arrived as well as the small things available around the hotel like free roasted marshmallows and free water sports. A big thanks to the boat house guys, they were so chill and helped us with snorkelling for the first time.
The bar was a such a vibe in the evenings, we loved the assortment of games they had available such as UNO and Ludo. Aniket is probably the best mixologist they have, he tailor made drinks according to our taste and we loved them, we missed him on the days he was not there because the evening drinks did not taste the same.
I think you get a lot for your money at this hotel, especially if you don’t mind driving for a bit but it’s the best location in my opinion and I’d come here again. Sunsets are amazing and you can even see the Milky Way.
Some feedback would be that the bar could do with some bar snacks during the evening, I know they stop a bit earlier during the day but then evenings is quite a good time to be at the bar and it’s a shame there isn’t an option to have a few nibbles.

Genuinely, unbelievable. I am absolutely speechless! Warm, friendly and diligent staff; exquisite food and cocktails (thank you Dylan, Alexandre, Aniket) and the most beautiful scenery and place you could imagine.

A MUST in the Island
The location is exceptional, with incredible views and dreamlike facilities.
Everything is clean, beautifully maintained, and clearly looked after with great care and attention to detail. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to worry about a thing.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was simply wonderful.
We travelled with our 10-month-old baby, and the hotel made everything so easy for us. They prepared purées for him, offered a babysitting service, and everyone was incredibly warm and caring towards him.
The beach area is amazing, not only because of its beautiful location but also because of the service provided by the hotel: fresh towels always ready on the sun loungers, bar service, and fantastic facilities including showers, bathrooms, complimentary cold water, and fresh coconuts.
The rooms lack absolutely nothing: they are well equipped, spacious, and spotlessly clean.
The staff and services deserve a 10/10: reception, babysitting, spa, restaurants, bars… everything was exceptional. They truly provide a high-quality service, always with a warm and personal touch.
The spa was a wonderful experience! Make sure to set aside a few hours to enjoy it — you won’t regret it! Thank you, Varsha and Sharah… you were the best! ❤️
