We had an amazing time at Paradis Beachcomber! Most things are said already - perfect location, friendliest staff (Madvi at reception took huge effort to fix our broken stroller herself, Balmick and his team at the restaurant make the fantastic stay even better! this guy really goes above and beyond to make your experience perfect) etc. Unfortunately the problem solving could be better (hence 4/5 stars). Room card was not working and could not be fixed by hotel for 6! days and all we get was one „sorry“, same for an AC leakage, 4 worker in our bathroom while we wait to get ready for dinner reservation and no time to clean the room. At this level you expect more..)
One the better places we have been -
Not our first time and hopefully not our last - service is great, beaches are good, amenities and facilities are always plentiful- staff are always attentive and willing to assist in any way. Rooms are good and the sea facing have a wonderful view.
Wonderful location, beautiful layout of golf course, fantastic beach, very good snorkeling right from the beach and by boat. Excellent and varied food in all the restaurants. Attentive staff. Top holiday destination.
We dined at the restaurant La Ravanne (part of Paradise hotel). Not only was the food excellent but had very friendly waiters. Our waiter Adelcia was exceptional and extremely friendly. We highly recommend trying this restaurant with Mauritian delicacies.
My husband and I recently returned to the Paradis Beachcomber Golf resort and Spa for the 4th time. This is our little piece of heaven, away from the cold winter in the UK. I have health problems following a cerebral haemorrhage 6 years ago so am limited with travelling options. We have found the staff incredibly helpful from choosing a room close to amenities so I can access everything when my husband is enjoying some of the varied activities available.
We always experience mixed weather but plenty of sunshine to balance out the odd rain showers. All areas of the hotel we use are clean, and beautifully decorated. We book what was called a Tropical Room now called a Junior Suite. There has been a big refurbishment of the older rooms in the hotel and we booked knowing this and we were aware there might still be some on going work to complete the refurbishment. Our room was completely finished, the huge bathroom and dressing room having an updated bathroom suite and modern hanging/dressing area. Our air conditioning was working without problem apart from one night where we had failed to close our main door completely- so totally our own fault!
We find all the staff we encounter in the restaurants, bars, reception but most importantly for us at the golf club to be extremely polite and helpful. They are all willing to share little nuggets about life in Mauritius and most staff speak very good English! Better than our Creole anyway!
We mainly come to Paradis for 2 weeks of golf and find the whole team at the golf club from Mario the Manager, to Sam and his team to be incredibly helpful and kind. During the refurbishment of the hotel they have also taken the opportunity to install a new irrigation system on the course and although the work is complete, the course has still some healing to do! This in no way spoiled our enjoyment of the holiday and we will be back to see how this has improved the course next year!
While we were here we were truly spoiled by a visit to La Ravanne for a Mauritius feast! The manager, Avish and our waiter, Co-co looked after us with exceptional service, delicious food and interesting Mauritian tales. It was excellent- just a little too much! Last night we were spoiled with a delicious dinner in the newly opened Zest restaurant. We were served Carpaccio of octopus, something I would never have chosen but it was absolutely delicious, so thank you Roy for choosing for us! Thank you Linley for looking after us and to Dhondee for last night and helping to organise a very special meal after my husband and friend caught a tuna while out fishing.
Tonight we are trying the Blue Marlin and hope it will be just as special.
