Pearle Beach Resort and Spa

TripAdvisor Review
Mauritius, Indian Ocean

Wolmar Beach near Flic-en-Flac is one of Mauritius's finest, and it's the perfect setting for the exemplary Pearle Beach Resort and Spa. The special cachet of this location is really reflected in the Pearle Beach Resort and Spa itself.

Its rooms are all beautifully decorated in a rich, contemporary fashion that is both stylish and accessible. Beachfront location and four star facilities make Pearle Beach Resort and Spa one of the islands finest. For an island that is rich with beautiful beaches, you know it's significant when we say that Wolmar Beach is among its very best. It's certainly one of the big attractions of this part of Mauritius, and now, so is the Pearle Beach Resort and Spa.

Beyond its immaculate lawn, the pure white sand leads down to the water:

The waters of the still, calm lagoon are wonderfully warm and inviting. Southwards you'll see the outline of the Morne Mountain. The juxtaposition really sums up Mauritius – a land of beautiful contrasts. All the twin and double rooms feature a balcony or terrace so that you can sit and savour it. Rooms are all en suite and feature a TV, telephone and minibar (not stocked), together with drinks making facilities.

One of the features of the Pearle Beach Resort and Spa is that rooms aren't merely places to sleep, but well designed and attractive facilities in their own right. They'll certainly add a great deal to your overall impression of this amazing holiday destination. Selected watersports activities are all available gratis including paddle boats, kayaks, and snorkelling trips in the lagoon. Pamper yourself with a massage or treatment in the Spa, or visit the fitness centre complete. There is also a hammam and sauna (at a charge).

The restaurant is located on the beachfront, allowing you to soak in the goreous views whilst dining. Featuring local and internation cuisines.

Like Wolmar Beach, Pearle Beach Resort and Spa is becoming renowned as one of the island's finest. Try it for yourself and see just what Mauritius has to offer...

The Local Area

This beachfront hotel makes the most of its delightful location on beautiful Wolmar Beach, one of the finest on this island of outstanding beaches. This part of the coast is protected by a reef so the calm blue waters of the lagoon lap onto a shore of fine white sand. To the south, the blue outline of Morne Mountain stands in sharp contrast.

Will be returning.

Rooms were comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly and general atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. Always seemed to be plenty of sun beds available on the beach. Lovely walks in both directions along beach. Lobster dinner on beach was great as it was my husband’s Birthday during our stay. Give Prosecco a miss, unless you want to pay £90 approx. a bottle!

The friendliness hotel, great location for snorkelling and sunsets, beautiful rooms

I can't recommend Pearle Beach Resort enough. The service here is by far the best I have ever experienced in a hotel and I have been lucky enough to visit lots of them. Every member of the team is friendly and welcoming and you are made to feel like part of the family. Sandy in particular made our stay special, always coming over to chat and giving us great advice on where to visit on the island. The restaurant team were all brilliant, Julietta,Julian,Ariella and everyone else (sorry I don't know all the names). Vikash and the other chefs always came out at meal times to check everything was perfect and chat to the guests. The food selection was good, there were different themed nights and always Mauritian food to try each day. There was always plenty for my boyfriend to eat who is vegetarian. We hired a car through the hotel, Luqmaan on reception was great at helping with this. I would definitely recommend this as a way of seeing the rest of the island. We love snorkelling and found that the beach the hotel is on, was for us the best on the island. You can swim very easily in the lagoon straight off the beach and see all sorts of different marine life, without needing to book a boat trip. We stayed in room 309 and it was perfect. This is one of the recently renovated rooms with a sea view. Sitting on the balcony at the end of each day and watching the sunset was my favourite thing to do. On arrival we were treated to a fruit platter and a bottle of fizz delivered to our room and a couple of welcome gifts. One night we were even invited for drinks with the management team in a 'secret' location. The housekeeping team were also brilliant. I loved that they visited the rooms on the evening to check if you needed anything even after they had already been earlier in the day. Damien from the entertainment team was great, I joined one of his aqua gym classes which was a laugh. He was quick to learn which guests were keen to join in activities and which ones preferred to observe and he didn't harass you. Patrick and the team in the bar were very friendly too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of coming to Mauritius. (Sorry I don't have any photos of the room but it was lovely)

Thank you for making our holiday so memorable, Maxine and David x

Extremely disappointed

My fiancé booked this hotel as a gift for my birthday. The pictures on the webpage is absolutely not what you can expect there. Room: it was good but not value for money, it’s rare to see plastic curtains in hotel rooms. Cupboard looks and amenities was very basic. Somehow room was clean and spotless. Reception: being a Mauritian, I asked if I can book another room for my son which was not possible, somehow while chatting with few people the hotel was not full at all. My fiancé negotiated for the lunch for our first day as we checked in late, the responsible their was teaching his staff how to deal with is in front of us. So unprofessional, make a deal at the back and as a guest I just needed a Yes or No! But we finally got our lunch. F&B: this is not hospitality at all, all bill came with mistakes, also both for our dinner and breakfast we got our bill halfway of our meal. It was irritating and seems it’s normal to the staff. Mistakes was tried to be corrected on our last day for billing and I just signed it to leave as soon as possible. Have not seen any responsible since I am there, but had a good chat with staff from Madagascar. Entertainment is horrible. Food: poor buffet, lack of choices, same food for lunch and for dinner. Well we were hungry and ate outside despite we paid for lunch. Spa: we wanted a massage, been there at around 11:00 but no one there, door open and we made a tour there to find someone. Taxi drivers mentioned that may he they are in cabin, at least 1 receptionist to attend your guest for a four star resort. We did our massage at OM spa which was great. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone only if you just wish to sleep and visit the island. All I needed was value for money which is so disappointing.
