The Eden Beruwala

Some places are worth going back to. Eden is definitely one of them.

We stayed at the Eden last year and, somewhere between the incredible staff, the endless cups of tea, the sunsets and convincing ourselves we "definitely don't need another dessert"… we knew we'd be back.

Now we're a day away from leaving again, and we're already having the same conversation: "Shall we just come back next year?"

The biggest reason we'll keep coming back is the people. My family and I have travelled enough to know that you can have a beautiful hotel, but if the staff don't make you feel welcome, it's just another hotel. Here, everyone smiles, chats, remembers you, genuinely seems pleased to see you, and somehow makes you feel less like a guest and more like someone they've been expecting.

The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are comfortable, the food has been consistently brilliant (yes, I ate far more than I intended... no, I have no regrets), and the location is perfect. But for me, it's never just about the building. It's about how a place makes you feel- Eden feels like a home away from home.

Thank you to everyone at Eden for giving us another holiday full of laughs, lazy afternoons, evenings of playing endless games of pool and memories we will never forget. Until next time... (Rooms 332 and 333)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, making it the perfect base for a seaside getaway. The hotel offers wonderful amenities, and our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a balcony overlooking the pool area, which was a lovely place to relax.

A special mention must go to Maduranga from the housekeeping team, who did an outstanding job every day. Our room was impeccably clean, and we were delighted by the creative towel animals and the beautifully designed bed decorations that greeted us each day. These thoughtful touches made our stay even more memorable.

Breakfast each morning was exceptional, with an extensive selection of delicious food to suit every taste. We also dined at the hotel's other restaurants, and every meal was equally impressive.

The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help with anything we needed. Another standout feature was the excellent soundproofing in the rooms—we never heard any outside noise, which made for a peaceful and restful stay.

Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the excellent service and comfortable accommodation to the fantastic dining and perfect location, we couldn't have asked for more. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily stay here again.

Room was very clean, aircon worked well, staff very accommodating and friendly. Special mention to Madarunga in Housekeeping for his excellent upkeep of our room and his fantastic towel art. Breakfast buffet lacked basic cereals such as museli; overall we thought the quality of food was average although a good spread of Asian dishes.
The pool is big and there is a good supply of sun lounges. However, the very loud “doof doof “ music that played all day was annoying if you wanted to relax beside the pool with a book, or have something to eat or drink at the pool bar. It could also be heard from our room. Music is OK but this was far too loud and annoying. Outside the resort is a small shopping strip with a couple of small hotels with restaurants nearby. Beach is nice and very accessible. We stayed for four nights and it was more than enough.
