A beautiful hotel!

We stopped at the Blue Water for 10 nights over Easter 2022 and were absolutely delighted with how friendly and helpful the staff were!!! When we arrived the house keeping team quickly changed a 'tired' toilet seat with a sparkley brand new one, packed lunches were made for when we went on day trips and they even baked us some gluten free bread upon request! From the guys who helped out with beach towels, sunbeds, drinks from the bar to the staff in the gym and spa...the service was just absolutely phenomenal 😊 A special thank you to both Piumi and Surang Silva who were great company as went to the on site gym for 6 of our mornings whilst there. The gym is brilliant and takes the edge off all of the eating and drinking before chilling all day by the pool!!!

Allow plenty of time for visits to Kandy and Galle...they are further away than we had thought! It then made sense to realise that mostly holiday makers stop at a variety of hotels across Sri Lanka during their stay. We will definitely do this next time to see even more of this interesting country...

We can highly recommend our taxi driver Karim, he was brilliant and we enjoyed getting to know him. He was our driver, guide and company for our 2 days out. We couldn't thank him enough for the long days out that we were able to go on! We said we would share his number as part of our review 0094 771075501. We would WhatsApp to make arrangements. Karim also took us to and from the airport (this is how we met him!) You'll find guys hanging around the fence next to the beach of the hotel offering to be your driver to Kandy for prices much higher than the price Karim gave us. We tipped too as he was just amazing!! If you're reading this Karim, many thanks and we wish you a very Happy Eid soon!

If you choose to go to Sri Lanka, you'll have an amazing time. We can't wait to go back again one day and we will definitely make sure at least a couple of nights will be at the Blue Water 😎 Thank you once more to all of the staff at the Blue Water!!

Very poor service

Review by Harry G Perth, Australia

View and the rooms were great , value for money was good as well . But I must admit I have been visiting Bluewaters for around 15 years but this is the lowest I have witnessed in terms of Service and the buffet spread . Its not easy with the current situation in the country but I sincerely hope you regain some momentum and regain the respect of the brand you had established.

Excels in keeping Guest needs a high priority

Review by LasithG Boralesgamuwa, Sri Lanka

I made my reservation via the Hotel website. From the point I called the hotel, up until the time I checked out, I could certainly highlight the service offered by the staff - who were always accommodating requests - be it a complimentary cake to celebrate a birthday to food preparation for kids to room amenities related requests.

I would like to compliment some of the members of the service team who in my opinion qualify as outstanding personnel who care about guests...

Starting from the front office manager Mr. Mahesh Kumarasena, Mr. Duminda (Front Office) Executive Chef Hasitha, Saman at Room Service as well as F&B Trainee Imasha Dehiwaththe and Trainee Chef Maheesha Randima who went out of their way to care for me and my family.  From an improvement aspect, I would feel that their service times at the Admiral's Room restaurant need to pick up to remove plates from tables and pour table water etc. The only other aspect that is missing is a Kids Zone.

Very disgraceful/disgusting experience due to the General Manager Mr Sampath of hotel who is very unprofessional.

Review by Anuradha S Colombo, Sri Lanka

This happened about two weeks ago, Your General Manager Mr. Sampath doesn’t know what is customer service and what is family experience is all about. So at that time, we paid our bill, but our meal was not over, and we enjoyed it.

So this person while walking that area, ask his staff to clear our table, So we were humiliated, embarrassed and felt really disappointed...

And your General Manager's reprehensible acts have harmed our dignity in front of every guest.

Huge inconvenience caused in public to me and our family and we were forced to leave that table since the staff had removed our meals and beers while we were eating them, for which we had paid.

It's extremely terrible and shameful to see this kind of behavior from a hotel like "Blue Waters," and I'm just not sure if we should return to and recommend your hotel, where I was married a few years ago! We were humiliated, embarrassed, and shocked by his disrespectful behavior.

Totally disappointed.
