You can also benefit from yoga or enjoy one of the traditional performances to gain an insight into the local culture.
The five star facilities at the Niraamaya Retreats, Surya Samudra include a choice of two restaurants as well as a bar, a library and a laundry service. There's also a picture-perfect pool surrounded by palm trees where you can relax in the sunshine. The beach is also particularly beautiful, whether you opt for a cooling swim or perhaps an evening stroll as the sun goes down.

A perfect family vacation
Our stay at Niraamaya was everything we had hoped for—a perfect combination of a relaxing family holiday and a truly rejuvenating Ayurvedic wellness experience.
Nestled amidst lush greenery with the beach just steps away, the resort offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was the ideal place for our family to unwind, reconnect, and create beautiful memories together.
The Ayurvedic treatments were exceptional. A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lekshmi for her thoughtful guidance and personalized treatment plan, which made a real difference to our wellness journey. We are also incredibly grateful to our therapist, Sibin, whose professionalism, skill, and caring approach made every therapy session deeply relaxing and restorative.
A very special appreciation goes to Anand, the Operations Manager, whose personal care and attention to every detail made us feel truly valued. His warmth, genuine concern for our comfort, and commitment to ensuring we had the best possible experience were remarkable and added a personal touch that made our stay even more memorable.
The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The healthy and delicious food, serene surroundings, and authentic Ayurvedic treatments left us feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and completely de-stressed. We returned home with wonderful family memories and a renewed sense of well-being.

We hosted our wedding at Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudram from February 5th to 6th, 2026, and it was absolute magic. If you want a venue that combines breathtaking natural beauty with rich heritage, this cliffside paradise in Kovalam is unmatched. The stunning ocean views and beautifully restored traditional Kerala cottages gave our guests an unforgettable experience. Because the resort is uniquely terraced on a cliffside, logistics require seamless execution. The resort team was incredibly professional and cooperated perfectly with my event manager to ensure everything ran strictly on time. We want to give a massive, heartfelt shoutout to Mr. Thangaswamy, who was the true anchor of our wedding. He went entirely above and beyond, keeping our budget in mind, ensuring guest mobility around the slopes was seamless, and even providing invaluable assistance well after the event concluded to save us any stress.
