A very disappointing stay at This Hotel
I work as an Operations Manager and deal daily with five-star hotels in Abu Dhabi, so I understand very well how hospitality standards should look. Unfortunately, what I experienced at this property was far below even 2 star hotel level & I don’t know who give this 4 star hotel
From the beginning, communication was a problem no customer service operation nothing There is no proper response system — I called reception multiple times from my room (sometimes 8–10 times) and nobody answered. That is simply unacceptable in any hotel means everything is doing Reception 1 Guy night 2 in day time that’s what hotel have 3 housekeeping and 3rd party restaurant and massage Centers 3rd party’s
I booked your highest room category with a private pool for 10 nights, yet housekeeping never came automatically to clean the room. I had to follow up myself. On top of that, there was water leaking from the ceiling, the bed had an unpleasant smell, and even the “clean” towels that were brought had visible black stains on them. This is basic hygiene — it should not be an issue.
Providing only two bottles of water daily for a premium room category also does not reflect proper guest care, especially for a long stay.
The most disappointing part, however, was the valet experience. Assistance seemed to depend on whether a tip was given. One evening, I was told I could not park near the main gate because it was handicap parking — yet several other cars were parked there. I was told they were “owner cars.” Later that same night, another guest was allowed to park there. This inconsistency makes no sense and feels unprofessional.
Overall, the experience felt more like staying in an Airbnb rather than a hotel claiming four-star standards.
I am sharing this feedback seriously because these are operational issues that damage your reputation. I hope management takes this matter seriously and provides a proper explanation and solution.
I look forward to your response.
Extremely disappointing. They assigned me a room on a second floor with no elevator and quite an amount of stairs. Impossible to go up and down several times a day unless you’re very athletic. When situation was explained to Reception, they said that it’s stated on the website: high floors. Absolutely refused to do anything to help, they even laughed.
With that definition You may expect a view? None.
But there are no elevators in this hotel. Definitely not appropriate for resting or periods of comfort.
Bathroom is very old and ceiling is very low, very difficult if you’re above 1.80 meter / 6.2
It’s a great property I was visiting for a night. The pool was my highlight ❤️❤️however service can be better coz I went to check in after 6pm however the room was still not ready and when I finally checked in, I got to the room housekeeping was still mopping the floor and I had to wait outside. I would go back for its quiet location and the pool
Last we made an impromptu trips to Abu Dhabi joining my husband on a work trip.
Whilst looking for a hotel close to his work I came across Villagio. It seemed a good option and very affordable and we booked a Junior non smoking Suite (non smoking allows for an extra bed to be put in if needed)
Pros Large rooms Impressive breakfast for a 4* hotel with a good selection of hot food (including wraps and French fries - great for the kids), fresh fruits, cheese and some desserts Two books Great play area for the kids with inflatables Good welcome reception wirh kawa and delicious dates in the lobby
Cons Room didn’t have windows and beds were uncomfortable! Breakfast did not have cereals and juice selection was limited to one Area doesn’t have anything walking distance
On the whole however, for the price, I was really pleased with the one night stay and would definitely consider it again.
The rooms are good and spacious, but the staff are not friendly, you do not feel that you are a guest in their hotel. Please pay attention to this point well. Also, the pool closes early, around 6 pm!
