My favorite family resort

Review by Navigator68716 Dubai, United Arab Emirates

I am lazy in writing reviews , as one can see from my profile . I have to be really treated on either side of of the spectrum to force me to write .. , I am just too lazy 😃. But I guess this resort deserves this and especially the Manager Mr Sreekanth ! I have to say , We are not devoid of hotels in the UAE ...

There are plenty of options and plenty of aggressive rates . But I have visited le meridien for over 5 times . My family in india and the US also love the place and always remember Sreekanth . It’s not the rates , that bring us back , it’s the staff led by one n only Sreekanth . I remember I was negotiating hard with Sreekanth once and he told me , you can get amenities every where but you won’t get Sreekanth to look after you . It’s a choice you make .

I actually paid more and chose the le meridien 😀

He is at the top of customer retention pyramid . I actually strive to be like him , in my service industry.

They genuinely try to keep everyone happy and smiling . I have never seen a hotel so dedicated in making sure that they go out of their way to make sure the guest is taken care off . Be it kids , Grand parents , couples . The culture speaks top to bottom . Sreekanth particularly leads the way .

I hope the senior management takes note of this . It was long overdue this review , but I felt this man deserves his due .

I would also like to re iterate that the culture in this hotel really speaks for itself . Very rarely we find customer happiness at the top of the agenda .

Keep it up guys ! Hope to see you soon 😃

Little Heaven

Review by sweet04 Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We discovered this little gem for our staycation and we loved everything from service, staff friendliness, rooms very spacious and clean and fantastic food at the beach place Gona. The lounge facilities were great too especially the pre dinner served at the outside bar with the friendly professional staff mohamed. The lady at desk Bien needs a super mention for her warm welcome everytime.we definitely recommend this hotel and also the al boom diving staff who are a fantastic bunch too!

Keep it up Le Meridien Al Aqha!

Review by Howitisx

I am not one to write many reviews via third party apps and questionnaires, but directly write into the business customer service channels. I was browsing reviews on NEW places to visit via trip adviser and a very familiar hotel kept coming up.....after several years of traveling the globe and mostly to 5* beach resorts, this hotel is our local favorite and ticks the boxes and more.

Since it’s opening 16+ years ago we as a family have visited and stayed at the Le Meridien Al Aqha Beach resort-sometimes even spent our holidays here and did not feel it necessary to travel to experience and enjoy another 5* beach resort!

So I believe this review is long overdue here on trip advisor...

This hotel is primarily up there because of its people, its staff and how they they make you feel. Complemented by its great food, outlets, service and facilities...

All the recipes for a great experience!

I believe all this can be achieved by the leadership, guidance, training etc etc and most importantly leading by example. This is where I have seen Excellent genuine standards set by Srikant, Diaa, Chef Sharafath, Melogen, Walter, Joey, Life guard Thomas and many others but just to name a few people now...

Srikant goes above and beyond to ensure his guests experience start from the time they are booked and thereafter to meeting people upon checkin ensuring a warm greeting and hereon setting a high standard-this is then followed on by the team.

Sometimes getting a room can be a bit difficult-but that’s understandable due to the high demand of people’s first choice to stay at LM Al Aqha.

I have observed how Srikant and his team handle difficult customers and my complete kudos to them for their patience and professionalism in doing so.

Well that’s all from me for now.......and we look forward to our next stay, which I have already booked and thoroughly look forward to the visit.

Keep up the great work guys and see you all soon.

Great place for families - good elite recognition

Review by FCR_Bayern London, United Kingdom

The good: -Suites are huge with wonderful balconies -Nature around the hotel and views are great -Very good Elite Titanium recognition including welcome bubbles in the room, complimentary breakfast in the TASTE restaurant (currently served a lounge during the day), tea time at 16:30 at TASTE, soft drinks during the day, and snacks and complimentary alcoholic beverages from 19-21h at the Astro bar on the 20th floor

  • Service is top, very proactive (shout out to Muthu at the front door and the entire team of the Gonu beach grill)
  • Gonu beach grill has a great scenery to offer and great food
  • very generous and new children area with pool in the shade and lots of kids attractios

the bad:

  • usually breakfast in this region of the world is something to look forward to, unfortunately, the LM Al Aqah does not excel at this, ground floor restaurant VIEWS offers very bland buffet food and the set menus served in the lounge seem to be also picked from the same buffet. I assume that right now this hotel predominantly caters to all inclusive guests and hence the breakfast quality had to suffer. I hope this will change or an upgrade to better breakfast will be possible as we would love to return.
  • ambiance inside the Italian and Thai restaurants feels one teleported to the 90's - they really would do good by remaking these places
  • pool area lacks shade (including the currently closed pool in water bar), installing some sun sails would go very far
