Lower volume of guests due to some renovations in progress made for quieter pools and activities....beach was in poor condition due to heavy seaweed floating in...all resorts in area would be dealing with this...excellent service and beautiful setting....1 - 1.5 hr drive to CUN airport....we used AMSTAR for van ride for 4 ($225 RT)....dont miss Mariachi band...lead singer is fantastic.
Main Buffet, theatre, preferred coffee snack area, preferred lounge Bar all closed for renovations. Only ONE alternating restaurant plus a small buffet, which is basically Mexican food plus salad choices every night, now located in foyer between Hitmitsu and Bordeaux French restaurant, open every night. Preferred lounge bar now located in main Lobby, open to everyone, with people milling around and checking in nearby. Booked months ago, but not told by travel agent of closures, even on their own Hyatt website no mention of any renovations and closures. Hotel made no effort to clear a path through 20 foot deep seaweed, no access to the sea via preferred beach area. A staff member said work probably won’t be finished by October. The staff are helpful and friendly, but that doesn’t make up for a hotel operating on a reduced capacity. Hotel less than half full. All swim up rooms closed too. Very disappointing holiday.
Dreams Tulum don’t owe me anything Love everything about this Hotel a great place experience Hotel staff was nice Bartenders was great a special shoutout to Sonny ,Raul, and the Eric for the Great Hospitality
Went for anniversary and we relaxed and enjoyed. Hotel is under renovation but staff helpful and attentive. We did enjoy the pool but beach has seaweed a problem along the whole coast
A really great experience. Be aware that this is also for families so there are children running around and parents that aren't always aware of how to parent their children. The food is very good, the pool is very nice, the whole property is currently getting a facelift and I am interested to see how it changes over time.
