Novotel Phuket Kata Avista

We stayed at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort & Spa from 25 September to 1 October 2026, and it was a fantastic family experience. Travelling with my wife and 10-year-old son, we wanted a resort that offered a good location, comfortable rooms and plenty to keep the family occupied — and this hotel delivered on all three.

The location in Kata is extremely convenient, with Kata Beach just a short distance away. The hotel's round-the-clock shuttle service to the beach, including late-evening pickups on request, was particularly useful.

The resort has an excellent range of facilities. There are separate kids' and adults' pools, a gym, Playorama, a kids' play area and a VR room. My son absolutely loved Playorama. The pool table and foosball table in the lobby were also a nice touch and gave everyone something to do between activities.

The landscaping is beautifully maintained, with a lovely variety of plants and greenery throughout the property. We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and appreciated the hotel's eco-friendly approach.

Dining

The hotel has En Vogue restaurant and the Canopy Bar, both of which we enjoyed. The food and drinks were very good, and as a vegetarian family, we particularly appreciated how accommodating the restaurant team was.

New, Apple, Ray and Gun were consistently attentive and made the dining experience very easy for us. They understood our dietary preferences, suggested suitable dishes and were happy to customize items for us. The chef was equally accommodating, which we greatly appreciated.

The Room

Our room was spacious, open and thoughtfully designed, with a lovely poolside view. Having a separate bed for our son was particularly convenient and made the room work very well for our family.

The People

What stood out throughout our stay was the genuine hospitality of the team.

Tubtab helped us when we arrived late from the airport and made the check-in process smooth after a long journey.

Tim at Playorama deserves a special thank you for the way she interacted with my son and made his time at the kids' area so enjoyable.

Aye went out of his way to assist us with a late-evening shuttle pickup. We didn't have a phone with us, but he coordinated everything and was there on time when we needed the pickup. It was a small gesture that made a big difference.

Tu was also very helpful in arranging taxis and cabs whenever we needed to travel to nearby locations.

Overall

What we liked most about Novotel Kata Avista was the combination of location, facilities, food, well-maintained surroundings and, above all, the people. There was a warmth to the service that made the resort feel less like a hotel and more like a home away from home.

We enjoyed every part of our stay and would definitely choose Novotel Phuket Kata Avista again on our next visit to Phuket.
