- Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong MGallery

Nestled on the height of Patong's hill, Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong - MGallery offers an outstanding view of the two bays. Our resort is lush in a tropical jungle near the hidden Freedom Beach and its crystal clear water. Enjoy our complimentary shuttle will bring you to Patong Beach or Jungceylon Shopping Mall throughout the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We spent a wonderful few days at Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong as a family of five, travelling with my parents and our young child, and left feeling genuinely looked after in a way that has become rare. The property itself is lovely — the rooms are comfortable and beautifully appointed, and Tambu, the rooftop, was a real highlight for us. But what lifted the stay from very good to unforgettable was the people. I want to name a few of them. Philipp Stieger, the Director of Operations, sets the tone for the entire resort. His passion for hospitality shows in everything, and his willingness to go the extra mile for our family has genuinely left me feeling personally indebted — the kind of care you remember long after a trip ends. In the kitchen, Arun and Abhishek looked after us wonderfully. As a vegetarian Indian family we can be particular, and they met every request, big or small, with warmth and real skill. The Indian food they prepared was exceptional — easily among the best we've had while travelling. Between the setting, the food, and above all a team who made us feel like family, everything about this stay was a pleasure. Our only reason to return is a happy one: we can't wait to come back once the Pool Villas reopen and experience them first-hand. Thank you to Philipp, Arun, Abhishek, and the whole team for making our stay exceptional.
Indian food is good.. loved he taste…
This is my second stay at the Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong. I accidentally found it in a sensational package holiday deal that I purchased back in May 2025 (stayed June 2025). I was then, and also this trip (2026), blown away by this 5-star premium resort. Located just 5 minutes (by taxi or tuk tuk) up in the hill above bustling Patong, the Avista Hideaway is a gorgeous place to unwind, relax and recharge. The architecture/design of this resort is breathtaking and quite unique. It's almost like you are staying in a piece of modern art - especially the entrance way to the main lobby (see pics). The tiered gardens are gorgeous, serene and well maintained. The rooms are perfect and well appointed - the luxurious rain shower is heavenly. On my first stay I was in a Deluxe Garden View Room (lovely). This trip I was upgraded to a Premier Room with Ocean and Hillside Views (stunning). The resort has three gorgeous pools (one adults only), all with well stocked swim-up bars. A big shout-out to Kiran - quite possibly one of the friendliest and most talented poolside cocktail makers in Phuket. Khàwp Khun Khráp Kiran! The Vista Restaurant is fantastic with a spectacular buffet breakfast from 7am and a delicious range of food for lunches and dinners. You MUST visit the rooftop Sizzle Bar and Restaurant for a delicious designer cocktail (or meal) at sunset - utterly breathtaking! There is also the 2026 Michelin listed Tambu Indian restaurant on the rooftop with even more spectacular sunset views. All in all the Avista Hideaway is in a class of its own thanks to the location, amenities and the ever helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely be heading back here on my next trip to Phuket. Khàwp Khun Mâak Khráp Avista Hideaway!
We had a wonderful stay at Vista Hideaway Phuket! The hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and everything made our family trip so special.
A special thank you to Krot. He was always so kind, cheerful, and helpful, making every ride enjoyable. His warm hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable.
Thank you for an amazing experience—we’d love to visit again! ❤️🌴
This hotel is amazing. The service is outstanding. We are just finishing our 10 night stay and were in a Jacuzzi suite in room 601 so enjoyed a few evenings soaking in the extra large tub on the balcony and taking in the interesting wildlife sounds. The breakfast buffet is incredible and we have tried several new fruits thanks especially go out to Chef Arun T for his amazing hospitality, he has made us feel so welcome along with Kib offering us specially tailored dishes and different cuisines from India. The Vista restaurant is amazing and we had 3 meals in there and a room service pizza which were all so fresh and tasty. The cocktails in Sizzle were fantastic but we only went in once as there is just so much to see and experience in Phuket. Please bear aware there is a 10% service charge on everything (unsure why). I would highly recommend this hotel but please bear in mind there are tonnes of stairs so if mobility is a problem for you then please be aware. Golf carts can escort you to and from places on property but our room had 2 flights of stairs. There is a 7-11 within walking distance and a massage parlour where I paid 400THB for a 60 minute head, back, shoulders and foot massage. Also within walking distance is Freedom beach and Tri Trang beach but both have a steep decline to get to the beach. Freedom beach has an especially steep decline and isn’t accessible for people with mobility issues (the most direct walking route). Both have a restaurant. Being picky my feedback is the bathroom lights are sparse and dim. The chairs on the outside patio are uncomfortable, the cushions do not remain on the seat as there is no back to the chair and the satin material on the cushions make them constantly slip off the back. I was disappointed that there wasn’t any footstool. Please replace the chairs with comfortable ones or sun beds (there is enough room). Several times we were left without any towels for the jacuzzi.
