Top notch resort!

Review by Henkeland Kalmar, Sweden

This is the place to spend your SHA+ quarantine (or more)! Amazing place with an amazing atmosphere. The staff and the owner is really helpful and brings a welcoming feel to it. Imagine sitting by the beach enjoying a wonderful breakfast while the friendly owner Mr Meindlschmidt stops by for some chit-chat and then moving over to the pool area for a cold Chang...

Just get here. You will see.

Great stay during Covid 19

Review by SaigonDoug Pattaya, Thailand

Very safe and accommodating, breakfast served at our bungalow. Ordered a day in advance. A clean sand beach, great views from our room...

Really great sunsets. Manager was very helpful in renting a scooter, and in finding good local restaurants. He even drove us to our next reserved hotel. There are 94 rooms, so the property is large. There is a wheelchair for guests with problems. They do have a book exchange. Our room had everything we needed, even wine glasses and wine opener. There are neighboring restaurants for more selection.

Great stay...thanks Paradise Beach Resort

Review by loissanborn Grantsville, Maryland

First of all, this is very belated review...my husband and I stayed here late September 2019. We won a 6 night stay at this resort from the game show The Price is Right! What a peaceful, beautiful, amazing week and I want to thank the staff and management at the resort for making our stay so memorable. We stayed in a Garden view room...

It was clear that we were there during the low season as it felt we had the resort to ourselves and occupancy was probably only 10-20%. Things we loved about the resort: first, the breakfast! Amazing and delicious. Loved all the food, especially the made to order options (Omelettes, eggs, crepes, etc), the fruit juices and jams, and of course the fresh cut fruit. So many options...I definitely felt they went above and beyond the typical hotel breakfast. Also, the man who seemed to be the manager/head staff of the restaurant area (I forgot his name, sorry!) was great, very attentive and also ready to bring us more coffee, etc. All the staff were warm and welcoming, but he really stepped it up for us, thank you!

We didn’t eat any other meals in the restaurant since we wanted to see more of the island and there are cheaper options out there so I can’t review their other meals.

Also loved the free shuttle rides to other villages of the island and we took advantage of these several times. Unfortunately the Mae Nam area is not super pedestrian friendly in terms of easy access to restaurants, bars etc.

And appreciated that the resort is taking some steps to be more eco-friendly...all refillable toiletry bottles in the bathroom, etc.

Our room was clean and spacious and WiFi worked fine. Liked the usb plugs too. Only small negative I can think of, I think they need to invest in a stronger shower curtain bar, or glass shower door. The curtain is just held up by this cheap expandable rod, which I knocked down just by opening the shower curtain too fast. Didn’t match the quality of the rest of the room.

Be aware that this probably isn’t the resort for you if you want to be near a lot of restaurants, bars, nightlife, “beach scene”, etc. It’s not really near much unlike some of the other villages on Koh Samui, like Chaweng. If you want a quiet, peaceful beach and a mellow resort and don’t really care about those other things, then this place is for you.

Some things we did during our stay that I’d recommend: ate at the Treehouse Cafe just down the beach, delicious and affordable and beautiful beach setting; got a beach massage from one of the shacks just down the beach from the resort; the many walking-street markets at different villages around the island; borrowed one of the resorts sea kayaks for an ocean paddle.

Finally, I want to thank one of the resorts shuttle drivers (again, I forgot his name), who drove us from the resort to our next hotel (we stayed on Koh Samui for another week) for free on our last day. Granted, they weren’t busy and he was clearly available. But just the fact that they did that shows that they are willing to go the extra mile for their guests. Thanks again Paradise Beach Resort, we loved our stay!

3 nights in Paradise

Review by Eric B Bangkok, Thailand

We decided the get out of Bangkok for a few days and since I have not been to Samui for many years it was an ideal opportunity to re visit this tropical island. We selected this Resort on recommendations of friends and we were not disappointed at all. The welcome was friendly and warm greeted by the Staff and The General Manager Khun Werner and our large villa facing the pool and beyond the see was perfect...

It was well appointed with even an Nespresso machine a fully stocked minibar and all the amenities you expect in a Resort. The Bath towels are the best I have ever received in a hotel, so thick and fluffy, just amazing. The resort is very well maintained, the pool clean and the beach front tidy and ready set up with sunbeds. The nearby hotel restaurant offers a large selection of Thai and Western dishes and the Service Staff and the Kitchen staff are very accommodating to adjust a dish to your liking! The food was delicious and we we also enjoyed the large Breakfast selection, especially the home made Mango Jam which was delicious! The room was made up daily and another thing I want to mention is the many power and USB plugs available in the room which makes it easy to charge phone and other devices. We also enjoyed the Spa treatments, one of the best massage i ever received outdoor near the pool. All in all wonderful facilities, great staff and a very relaxing 3 nights to recharge our batteries. We will be back! EB

beachfront

Review by louisa1956 north yorkshire

Lovely hotel. Booked a beachfront villa of which there are only two. Only way to go...

We had our own stretch of private beach and direct access to the sea along with our own sunbeds. Room was a good size with nice bathroom and comfy bed. Food was very good and the staff charming if a little slow sometimes. There was a small sala at the front door where housekeeping left clean beach towels and flowers. Housekeeping excellent. Only reason we would not return is the area. Impossible to get across the road to the shop. Pavements when you found one was broken and open sewers. Sea was a funny green colour and when we walked along the beach found lots of tributaries running into the sea which were not very clean to say the least. This area along with others in Koh Samui need some serious investment in infrastructure and sewage. A couple of bars along beach which you could access when tide out, had a good stay and would like to return if the area cleaned up a bit,
