The hotel is just a short transfer from the airport offers a wealth of facilities and is located within easy reach of many bars, shops and restaurants with Rhodes city, the architectural wonder being easily accessible.
We booked a Jet2 package holiday at Electra Palace Rhodes expecting a true 5-star, "Premium All-Inclusive" experience. Unfortunately, our stay as a family traveling with a 4-year-old has fallen very short of 5-star standards across several key areas:
Deluxe Sea View Room: We paid for a "Deluxe Sea View" room, but there is nothing 5-star or deluxe about it. The sea view is just a narrow side glimpse, while the primary view from our balcony looks directly onto a derelict, run-down property next door.
Minibar Restrictions: Despite being advertised as an upgraded All-Inclusive Plus resort, the room minibar is only replenished once per week.
Ice-Cold Outdoor Pools: Visually, the main pool area is gorgeous. However, the pools are ice-cold and unheated, making them practically unusable for young children or adults. A luxury family resort should at least offer a heated option for kids.
Service & Staffing Deficits: Service standards do not match 5-star expectations. Main restaurant staff are inattentive—we are rarely asked if we want drinks during breakfast or lunch and have to flag people down. Bar staffing is minimal, and table QR code ordering systems do not work.
Food: While most of the food is tasty and the deserts are delicious, it’s not a huge selection. Especially the so called kids food area, only has 3 trays. Mostly inclusive of bland foods.
Overall, while the hotel has potential aesthetically, the operational standards, room views, and restrictive policies fall well short of a genuine 5-star resort. Disappointing for the price paid.
One of the best massage I’ve ever had. Nicole was fantastic. I’ve never had a full body massage or a facial before- only ever back neck and shoulders. So this was really amazing for me. I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to unwind or who has aches and pains. Thankyou!
I visited the spa and was given a scrub and oil body treatment by a lovely lady called Christianna, she was very professional, attentive and made sure my experience was very relaxing. The spa is beautiful and very clean, a lovely get away from the business of the pool etc to relax and unwind.
Just retuned from a week at The Electra Palace. To give this hotel a 5* rating is ridiculous. We encountered rude staff, everyone looked completely fed up and deflated. I appreciate it’s the end of the season but it’s my hard earned money and my holiday so…. Food was mediocre at best, not enough of it, mostly cold by the time we got to it, felt like drinks were extremely rationed, it took literally forever to get a drink in the evening. The management really need to address the QR code system for ordering drinks in the bar, and I don’t want to drink my warm Prosecco from a plastic cup every night! The themed restaurants really aren’t worth bothering with, food was pretty poor. The good points were - the room was perfectly acceptable, nice walk in shower, modernish, there were plenty of sunbeds so there was no scrum in the morning, the grumpy women who worked in the snack bar really need to cheer up or have a career change if we all annoy you. Anyway, long snd short of it is we won’t be back, not even the fact that it’s 15 mins from the airport can persuade us!
