Cuba Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

Entry requirements

All travellers

  • Entry requirements can change on short notice. Check with your airline for the most up-to-date information.
  • From 6 April 2022, UK travellers don't require a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test.
  • All travellers must complete a Health Declaration (Declaracíon Jurada de Sanidad) online before travel.

Passport validity

  • Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry into Cuba.

Visa requirements

General

  • Tourists need to obtain a tourist card before travelling. This can be applied for via the Cuban Embassy in London or through your travel agent or tour operator.
  • For more visa information, contact the Cuban Embassy.
  • Dual nationals are advised to seek advice from the Cuban Embassy on entry requirements before travel.

Legal Penalties and Restrictions

  • Some electrical items with heavy power consumption and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) may be confiscated on entry to Cuba. Such items are usually returned on departure.
  • Inbuilt GPS on mobile devices should be disconnected or disabled.
  • For more details on customs regulations, visit the Cuban Customs, Ministry of Tourism, or Tourism Portal websites.
  • Cuba allows a maximum of two pieces of checked-in luggage per person, each up to a maximum weight of 32kgs. Confirm your luggage allowance with your airline.
