#### ABTA Members
We are a member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct. Many of the travel arrangements that we sell are protected in case of the financial failure of the travel company. Please ask us about the protection that applies to your booking. #### ATOL Protection
Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. We strongly recommend that you and all members of your party are suitably insured as soon as you book your holiday, protecting against unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise spoil your trip. It is a condition of booking that you must have suitable travel insurance. It is important that you purchase travel insurance that suitably covers your participation in whatever activities you may undertake at the time that you make your booking.

Ensuring that your holidays are adequately protected is one of our main priorities. That's why we have specifically chosen Holiday Extras as our preferred provider to ensure that you are protected before and whilst you are travelling. Holiday Extras are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and have been awarded the “Best Travel Insurance Provider” by the Travel Weekly Globe awards for the past twelve years.

Our brochures are usually launched a minimum of six months before departure and in some cases even a year in advance.

### Flight Costs
All airlines have different levels of seat prices which are dependant on how far in advance of the departure date the seats are booked. The price increases as each block of seats is sold until the aircraft is full. Our brochure prices are based on the lowest seat prices and when these are sold our computer system will automatically search for the next level of fare available from that airline. This extra cost will be reflected in the price quoted to you by our reservations consultants or in your online booking. These different levels of seat prices can put as much as £200-£300 on the cost which is why our flight supplements are always quoted as “from” a particular figure and is why, at the time of booking, the price quoted may be higher than that in the brochure.

### Hotel Costs
Our hotel costs, on the other hand, do not vary according to the time you book your holiday as these have been contracted at fixed rates. As we buy our currency in advance we also do not charge any currency surcharges.

There are, however, instances where our special offers have run out due to high demand and in these instances you will be offered the same holiday without those special offers.

The offer that usually runs out first is that offering no single supplement. While we endeavour to satisfy our clients who seek the benefit of our offers, the supply is not limitless and they tend to sell out quickly.

If you would like to change or upgrade your board basis, you can do this by calling our Customer Experience Team. If for any reason it is too late for us to do so, then the next best way to do this is to check with reception when you arrive. Most hotels that offer higher categories of board basis' will let you pay a supplement to upgrade locally, which is something you would be able to do directly with reception.

Can I  change/upgrade my board basis?

You can upgrade your room type by calling our Customer Experience Team. We will check the availability and the supplement to amend to your desired room type. If for any reason it is too late for us to do so, then the next best way to do this is to check with reception when you arrive as they will be able to confirm their availability for any room upgrades and the best possible price.

Can I upgrade my room type?

We want your holiday to be everything you expect it to be and more, so if something isn’t as planned please get in touch with your Mercury Holidays representative. They will be sure to assist you as much as possible to try and resolve the issue straight away. 

If your representative is unable to help, and you are still on your holiday, then please email us at __mybooking@mercuryholidays.com__ and we will do everything we can to assist you.

If for any reason the issues can not be resolved whilst you are on holiday, then please write to our Customer Relations Team upon your return. You can either email __customerrelations@mercuryholidays.com__ or send a letter to __St Johns House, Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1YL.__

How do I make a complaint whilst on holiday?

If you are experiencing issues at your hotel, we would first recommend speaking to your hotel's manager or reception team as they should be able to quickly resolve any issue. Please note that, if you don't follow this step, it will be more difficult for our team to help you further.

For major issues, like considerable noise disturbances caused by on-site building works or the closure of a main facility at your hotel, please contact our in Resort Representative. Their contact details can be found on your final booking details documentation, which would have been sent to you before your departure. If you cannot find these, please [contact our team](/info/contact-us) who will be able to help you further.

What if I am unhappy with my hotel?

Complaints

If you are forced to return home early, we cannot refund the cost of any travel arrangements you have not used. If you cut short your holiday and return home early in circumstances where you have no reasonable cause for complaint about the standard of accommodation and services provided, we will not offer you any refund for that part of your holiday not completed, or be liable for any associated costs you may incur. Depending on the circumstances, your travel insurance may offer cover for curtailment and we suggest that any claim is made directly with them.

What happens if I need to come home early?

Cutting your holiday short

You can find out your pick up time either from the hotels reception, their information board or by contacting the Mercury Holidays Representative. If you have a private transfer, you can find out your pickup time either from reception or from contacting the Mercury Holiday representative.

Pick up times are normally available from 48 hours before your flight. All pick up times will be scheduled to ensure that you get to the airport with plenty of time to make your flight. As standard and shuttle transfers include picking up other passengers on the way, your pick up time may be earlier than expected.

Where can I find details regarding my transfers?

If your transfer hasn’t arrived to collect you, you should contact the emergency number which can be found on your final booking details. This would have been sent to you before your departure.

What should I do if my transfer hasn't shown up?

Check in times can vary between hotels, usually check in times would be betweem 01:00pm - 04:00pm on your arrival date. If you have an overnight flight with an early arrival time, you may have to wait until the hotel's check in time before you can have access to your room. You may be able to arrange early check in at the hotel's reception. Please note, this will be based on availability at the hotel and may not always be available. 

Check out times are typically between 10:00am - 12:00pm on the last day of your holiday. You'll be given details of the check-out time when you get to your hotel. If you have an evening flight, you may be able to arrange late check out with the hotel. Please note, this will be based on availability at the hotel and may not always be available. 

If early check in/check out options are not available, you may be able to store your suitcases at the hotel so you can explore or relax without worrying about them - the hotel will inform you of this at the time of check in/check out.

Your meal plan starts when you check in to your hotel, and ends when you check out, according to the hotels check-in and check-out times, and is subject to restaurant and bar opening hours.

What time is check in/check out?

Prebooking late check out is not possible. To arrange late check out, you should speak to reception upon check in to see if you can pay locally to keep the room for longer, or if they have specific rooms for this service.

The majority of hotels will be able to hold onto your bags until you leave for the airport, if you want them to. This will give you the opportunity to make the most of your holiday before your onward travels.
