Russia Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

Entry requirements:

  • Entry requirements: Effective from 21 October 2022, Russia has removed the requirement to produce a negative PCR test. Random testing may still take place on arrival in Russia.
  • Entry requirements for children: Not mentioned specifically.
  • Passport validity: Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months after the expiry date of your visa.

Visa requirements:

  • General: A visa from the Russian Embassy is required before travel.
  • e-Visa requirements: Not mentioned.
  • Visa on arrival: Not applicable.

Travel forms:

  • All foreign passengers should complete a travel form (only in Russian) prior to arriving in Russia.

COVID-specific requirements:

  • All entry requirements for Russia apply regardless of vaccination or recovery status.
  • Proof of vaccination is not required to enter Russia.
  • Passengers arriving by air may be temperature-checked and/or randomly selected for additional PCR testing on arrival.
