Switzerland Travel Advice

Entry requirements differ by country. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office issues country specific travel advice including Health, Visa and Vaccination requirements.

You can access the FCDO advice for Switzerland at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/Switzerland

Entry requirements:

  • Switzerland's entry requirements can be checked using the online Travelcheck service.
  • There's no need to provide proof of vaccination or recovery, negative test result or complete an entry form when entering Switzerland.

Passport validity:

  • For Switzerland and Schengen area countries, your passport must be issued less than 10 years before your entry date and have at least 3 months validity after your planned departure date. More details about the Schengen area passport requirements.

Visa requirements:

  • General:

UK nationals can travel to Schengen countries, including Switzerland, without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Travel forms:

No travel forms required for entry into Switzerland.
