A great resort
An amazing place to stay and chill out after a safari trip. Stunning and such a contrast to the previous few days. The resort is in a beautiful spacious setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The gardens are relaxing and immaculate. We stayed for 5 nights and used the buffet restaurant which had a very good selection of food and plenty seating. The staff were all friendly and helpful, with a ready smile and willing to chat. There were at least two pools and one was adult only which was nice and relaxing.
A great few days
We went to Sarova White Sands on the all inclusive package to finish off our honeymoon after a hectic week of Safaris. This hotel was the perfect end and was so relaxing.
The food was outstanding, especially in the Minazi restaurant. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and made sure we had the best time. No request was too big.
We wanted to give a special mention to Turan at the Lido bar. He was incredibly friendly and always made sure my wife and I had something to drink.
The rooms were really spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying there for anyone traveling to Mombasa.
Top Level Hospitality
True African hospitality ♥️ Travelled with our 6-month old and the chef prepared meals for him anytime we asked. Words cannot capture how valuable this is. All the staff are friendly and courteous, always looking out for our comfort. I'll definitely check out other Sarova properties to experience the same.
Lovely Stay!
I stayed at Sarova Resorts for 5 nights in November 2023. I had complimentary airport transfers from Mombasa, which was roughly a 40 minute ride. I arrived at the resort between 10 and 11am and check in was done in less than 20 minutes. I stayed in room 1092 which is a ground floor, pool facing room. The room itself was neat and well maintained, with a balcony in front (all rooms have balconies). I had no major complaints.
I paid for half board which included breakfast and dinner at the Pavilion Restaurant – this is the only restaurant covered by the half/full board payments. I made a mistake of ordering chicken wings and chips at the cocos beach bar on the first day – that must have been one of the worst chips and chicken wings I’ve had! The food at the restaurant was quite decent, which a wide variety available. Dinner on the first night was a bit off for me, but subsequent nights were much better. One issue though was the leakage in the ceiling around where the food was served. Not sure why this was not given priority but it leaked for several days which I thought was not acceptable.
I went on the snorkeling / marine park tour which was quite nice. Also had a massage at the Tulia Spa – pricey but was good. The beach itself is a public beach and when the tide is low, does not look nice at all because of all the weed and stuff that get deposited on the beach front. Several other resorts make use of the long stretch of the beach.
There are several activities that take place across the resort – music band playing in the Pavilion Restaurant, water aerobics in the afternoons, the kid’s play / swim zone, the animation team at cocos beach bar, 4pm afternoon high tea, etc.
Overall, worth it!
