Split

The hotel is situated in the very centre of Split on one of its main streets. It is just steps away from ancient and cultural monuments, including the 1700 year-old historic core of the city, which is protected by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site. The hotel's ideal location guarantees easy access to all important parts of the city. Within walking distance is the famous Diocletian Palace as well as the bus terminal, railway station and the ferry. The hotel is also just a short walk from the city's most popular sandy beach, Bacvice and its transparent clear sea. Split's wonderfully forested park, its "green soul", Marjan Hill is also just a short stroll through the Varos section of the city that begins at the end of the waterfront Riva. The stylish and lifestyle design and furnishings were carefully chosen by Ms. Parčina herself, a personal celebration of what's fresh, inventive, sleek, and flavoured with Split's ancient marine heritage. Dedicated to innovation, Hotel Luxe has started to change the entire look and feel of Split's hotel scene. Our young and motivated team of hospitality enthusiasts are dedicated to the highest level of personalized service for each guest. The goal is to do everything to make the guests’ stay a warm and memorable experience.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Great Location, very good service, average the rest

Review by Seaside19383109834 Fontanafredda, Italy

Location: 5/5 - 5 minutes walk to Diocletian Palace and whatever is inside / nearby.

Accessibility: 2/5 - there is no way to park in front of the entrance with a taxi. Hotel Parking is available and very useful but it takes a lot of stairs with heavy luggages if you follow the signs. Maybe a second sign to help first time visitors to use a longer but less heavy path it would be useful.

Breakfast: 2/5 - this is the same for every hotel I stayed in Croatia...

I just do not like salty breakfast…and selection of sweet options is limited. I chose 2/5 instead of 3/5 because a 4 star hotel should not let you pay a coffee made with a proper machine and give you for free the nespresso (or whatever it is).

Service: 4/5 - very kind and helpful staff. Personnel is very polite and caring. Rooms, however, were cleaned after lunch, a bit slow according to our experiences.

Room: 2/5 - the view is a matter of luck. If you are at lower floors you see other buildings distant few meters from your window. Air conditioning was not editable. Bathroom was very tiny. Beds not comfortable.

Others: corridors were quite smelly, maybe due to the road nearby. SPA is a bathtube.

Price / quality ratio: 2/5 - Too expensive for what I consider a 3 star hotel.

My favorite Hotel Ever and Best Staff Ever

Traveled from the US to Croatia for our honeymoon. My parents stopped by before for a surprise and the staff blew us out of the water! First of all, it is in the best location. quick walk to Old Town and the water...

The breakfast you give you in the morning is amazing. I still dream about those chocolate muffins:). Last and most importantly is the staff, I have never met nicer people. They are the reason why the place is so great.Rooms were perfect, nice and quiet with a beautiful view. We are not big travelers and we already want to plan a time to come back! This is the best hotel I have ever had. 101/100 will recommend. We will be back!

All Around Great Stay

Review by bobv640 Phoenix, Arizona

Very Nice modern hotel. We had a nice room with a balcony that looks towards the bay. The room was clean and quiet...

They have a very good buffet for breakfast. It was a small area, however, not crowded at all for the two nights we stayed here. Friendly staff. We were able to have same day laundry service. Great location. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Great Staff and Location

We were only in Split for a few days -- Hotel Luxe was a great setup for us. Breakfast was one of the best we had, quiet and clean rooms, and a great location to walk to water and Diocletian's Palace. The staff was so friendly -- we had to catch at transfer at 5:30am to the airport and the hotel staff offered to pre-pack a small breakfast for us to take...

It was such a kind and simple gesture that we sincerely appreciated!

Wonderful staff, location, breakfast

Review by realistic5 Australia

The most friendly and helpful welcome I’ve had in a long time! Fantastic staff on the desk and at breakfast. Great dinner recommendation. My room was lovely and smelled divine...

Comfortable bed. View of port. Handy location. Excellent tea selection and kettle in the room. Spacious bathroom and terrific shower. Body wash, shampoo, soap and body lotion, amenity kit and shower cap all provided as well as a free bottle of water. Unsure if I’ll be back in Split but if I was I’d absolutely stay again.
